Oh hello Maa ki bhakt (JK) she landed in Shah house after saying that she will cut off ties with the Shahs. She denied to divorce him but in the end became Mahaan by letting him go. I tried to do justice to her character. After all, she has to regress to progress 😅

Maaya had always been a focused and driven person and had never let anything distract her. She wanted to give herself time to think about her feelings for Anuj and to make sure that they were genuine before she acted on them. She didn't want to rush into anything without first understanding the depth of her own emotions. So, she decided to put her focus on her studies for the time being, and wait until she had completed her education to have a serious conversation with Anuj.

In the meantime, Maaya and Anuj continued to stay in touch, talking and texting regularly. They shared their thoughts, experiences, and aspirations, and she found herself looking forward to these conversations. It wasn't an easy decision, as she found herself constantly thinking about him and wondering what could have been if she had acted on her feelings. She was happy to have him as a friend, but couldn't help but wonder what it would be like to be more than that.

As the months passed by, Maaya worked hard to complete her studies and Anuj counted the days until he could file for divorce. Finally, six months had passed since Anuj decided to end his marriage with Anupama. He had been waiting for this moment for a long time. He contacted Sohit and asked him to start the legal proceedings for divorce.

Sohit began the process and sent the legal notice to Anupama. Anupama hoped that things could be fixed between them. In the past six months, she tried talking to him multiple times but Anuj didn't entertain her. She decided to reach out to Anuj and ask him to meet her for a final conversation. Anuj was hesitant at first, but he agreed to meet her. She asked him to meet her at the hotel where they first met. As they sat down and ordered their drinks, Anupama took a deep breath and began to speak.

Anupama: Do you remember this place? This is where we first met.

Anuj: This is just one of many places. That's all.

Anupama: Doesn't it mean anything to you?

Anuj: Not anymore.

Anupama: Why? Why isn't there any meaning now?

Anuj: Because there shouldn't be any. There can't be any meaning between the two of us.

Anupama: If you were going to leave me, why didn't you just disappear back then? I will end up getting abandoned again. Anuj, Let's go back to that day. (She tried to hold his hand but he moved away) I will cut off ties with the Shahs. I will prioritize you over anything or anyone. It's not that I can't. I realized I just didn't.

Anuj: When you had me, you never prioritized me. Now when you can’t have me, you shouldn't do that. I am sorry, Anupama. This is like gluing broken glass back into its shape. We have already talked about it, right? Why are you doing this to me now?

Anupama: No, I should be sorry because I won't end this. Broken glass? Why can't I glue it back together? I broke it, so I'll glue it back. I'll make it look good so that you can't tell it was broken.

Anuj: (his eyes filled with a mixture of sadness and anger) Please Anupama. I asked you not to do this. I asked you, didn't I?

Anuj sighed and left the place.

Anuj sat in Sohit's office, staring blankly at the divorce papers in front of him.

Sohit: What did she say?

Anuj: She is now saying that she won't let me go.

Sohit: Why don't you consider filing for a contested divorce?

Anuj hesitated at the suggestion.

Anuj: I don't want to drag this out in court and make it messier.

Sohit: I get that, but if Anupama is not willing to cooperate, then it might be the only option.

Anuj: I don't want to demean her or drag our issues into the public eye. Moreover, Maaya's name will come up, and I don't want to drag her name through the mud like that (he sighed heavily). I just wish there was some way to resolve this without causing any more pain or damage to anyone.

Sohit: I know, man. But sometimes, things don't work out the way we want them to. The best we can do is try to handle it as gracefully as possible.

Anupama had come to the Shah house hoping to find some comfort in being with her family. As she sat on the sofa, staring into space, Samar noticed her sadness and approached her.

Samar: Mummy, what's wrong?

Anupama: (shook her head, tears welling up in her eyes) Anuj wants to divorce me.

Samar was taken aback by this news. He had always thought his mom had a happy marriage. He couldn't understand why his buddy would want a divorce. He hugged Anupama and whispered, "Don't worry, Mummy. Everything will be alright."

Samar: Tell me everything.

Anupama narrated the entire incident.

Anupama: Anuj said that he would wait until I wanted to separate, but now.. (Anupama cried profusely)

Samar: Don't worry, Mummy. I will sort it out.

Samar dialed Kavya's number and asked her to provide him with Maaya's contact number.

Later in the evening, Anuj paced back and forth in his living room, his mind consumed with thoughts of the impending divorce. He was wondering what to do. He picked up his phone and sent a text to Maaya. He waited for her reply but no response came. He was about to call her but then he remembered that she had mentioned earlier that her exams are this week. He decided to give her some space and let her focus on her studies.

Maaya was helping out Choti with her math homework when her phone beeped with a new text message. She quickly checked her phone and saw that it was from Anuj. Maaya was about to respond but she received a call from an unknown number. She hesitated for a moment before picking up the call. A familiar voice greeted her from the other end.

Samar: Hello, is this Maaya?

Maaya: Yes, it is. Who is this?

Samar: It's Samar.

Maaya was surprised

Samar: Can you please stop coming in between my mom and my buddy?

Maaya: What do you mean? I didn't get you.

Samar: Buddy has filed for a divorce. He wants to get separated from my mom.

Maaya knew that Anuj was considering divorce but he also told her that he would wait until Anupama initiates the process.

Maaya: I don't know anything about that and what does it have to do with me?

Samar: Oh, don't act smart. I know, you only manipulated him to initiate it. If you wouldn't be there then buddy would have come back to us.

Maaya: Do you really think that I am the reason for this? Because as far as I remember, Anuj was already considering divorce even before we started talking.

Samar: Do you think I will be trapped by your words? Are you scheming to marry him? Finally, you showed your true colors. What would you tell Choti when she will become an adult? That her mother used to work in a.. I can't even say the word. And, now she is wrecking another woman's home. Even if you do marry him, have you ever thought, about how your past will taint my buddy's future? Life has given you another chance but you are hell-bent on ruining everyone's life.

Maaya felt a lump in her throat on hearing Samar.

Maaya: There is nothing between me and Anuj, and there never will be.

Samar: Good to hear that. But you have to understand that buddy is vulnerable right now, and he might try to reach out to you. I hope you'll be careful and not let him get the wrong idea.

Maaya: Don't worry. I'll handle it. I have my own life to focus on, and I don't want to be a part of any drama.

Samar: Remember whatever you said.

"What was I thinking? How could I dream of a future with him? Samar was right. Do I even deserve to be with him? I was so consumed with my own vulnerabilities that I never thought about things from his side." she thought. She said to herself, "My past will never leave me and I will not taint Anuj's future with it."

Anuj thought that Maaya would call him on her own, but she did not. It had been two days. He wondered if she was too busy with her exams or if something else was bothering her. He tried calling her but her phone was switched off. He called her again the next day and her phone was again switched off. He panicked and was about to go out when Sohit came to his room. Sohit found him panicking.

Sohit: Anuj, is everything okay?

Anuj: I have been trying to call Maaya, but her phone is switched off for two days. I am worried something might have happened to her.

Sohit: Have you tried reaching out to anyone else who might know her whereabouts?

Anuj: No, I don't have anyone's contact information. I don't know what to do. I have to go to Delhi. Something is definitely wrong.

Sohit: Calm down, Anuj. Did she behave weirdly the last time you both talked?

Anuj shook his head.

Sohit: Don't worry. I will try to find out about her from my contacts. Give me her address. Meanwhile, you try to remain calm, okay?

Anuj nodded and thanked Sohit. He tried to keep himself occupied, but he couldn't help but worry about Maaya. All sorts of thoughts came to his mind. After a few hours, Sohit returned with some information.

Sohit: Anuj, I found out that Maaya has vacated that place. It seems like she has even changed her number, which is why you aren't able to reach her. Did something happen between you two?

Anuj's mind became blank and he shook his head.

Sohit: Was anyone threatening her? Do you know anyone here who can provide us with any information?

Anuj was about to shake his head but he remembered Maaya's friend Sushma.

Anuj: Sushma, she is Maaya's partner. Maybe she can tell us something.

Sohit, through his contacts, found out that Samar asked for Maaya's contact number. Anuj wondered why would he need Maaya's number and then something clicked for him. He immediately called Samar but he was not responding. He decided to confront him and drove towards Shah House.

At Shah house, Anupama hadn't told anyone about the divorce. She saw Anuj coming towards their house and went towards him.

Anupama: You came. (She had a gentle smile on her face)

Anuj: Where is Samar? I want to talk to him.

Anupama: He is inside his room, but what do you..

Vanraj: The great Anuj Kapadia is here. Can I ask you why are you looking for my son?

Anuj: There's something that we need to talk about.

Samar came out on hearing all the commotion. He immediately knew why Anuj came.

Anuj: Samar, can we talk?

Vanraj: Talk in front of everyone. What business do you have with my son?

Anuj: It is personal.

But Vanraj was adamant that they have to talk in front of him. Finally, Anuj gave up.

Anuj: Okay. (Looked at Anupama) Samar, why did you ask for Maaya's number? What did you say to her?

Samar: I told her the truth.

Anuj: What truth?

Samar narrated their entire conversation. Everyone was shocked to hear about the divorce. (Authors' note: Just imagine all the gloomy looks the Shahs give, especially Dukhmukh Shah)

Samar: I did whatever was needed.

Anuj: Who are you to assume that? I initiated the divorce because I wanted to.

Samar: I did it for you, buddy. I couldn't let you ruin your reputation. I didn't want you to become a joke.

Anuj had a questioning look on his face.

Samar: You were never like this. You have waited for mummy for 26 years. You were always there for her. Mummy was your priority and you always stood behind her. You were happy. But you got swayed by Maaya.

Anuj: (looked at Anupama) I am not being swayed. I am changing. Did you think I was happy back then? Waiting for your mom every alternate day while being empty inside? I couldn't even digest my food and would return to my empty shell of a house. I'd toss and turn in bed, trying to sleep, then repeat everything again and again. Do you miss the old me? I don't.

Samar: But this change won't benefit you.

Anuj: (in a shouting voice) Who are you to determine whether it benefits me or not? I will decide that. I will decide my future and what I value in life.

Samar: What is so great about her that you are leaving my mom? She is just a... (Anuj looked at Samar angrily.)

Anuj: Anupama, do we really have to take this path? Do you want to reveal everything to the world so that they can laugh at us? Does it have to end like this?

Leela: (had a smirk on her face) The whole world will laugh and call names to Maaya.

Anuj: I won't let that happen to her even if I have to become the scapegoat.

Anupama shouted: Enough! I didn't know that you had such deep feelings for her. (Samar was trying to say something) No Samar, I can't force someone to love me. If Anuj's heart is with Maaya, then I won't stand in the way of his happiness. I don't want to be with a man who doesn't love me. And I don't want Maaya to be dragged into this mess. So, I am going to sign those divorce papers and let Anuj go.

After a long and exhausting legal process, Anuj and Anupama were finally granted a divorce. Anupama had struggled with the decision to end her marriage, but ultimately felt it was for the best for everyone involved. Although Anupama was against any alimony, Anuj had given up on the restaurant partnership and transferred the Kapadia Mansion in her name.

I do feel sad for Anupama though but it's her own doing.

Right now she said I will cut ties and just the next moment went to Shah house.

Tv ki Maya to totally butcher ho chuki hai. 😭

They butchered their lead so what can we expect for others? I may sound insensitive but I do not feel anything for her. I felt pity then angry then I hated her. At last I became indifferent towards her.
I am not reading any updates on what is going on in the show as I won’t be able to write. And Maaya and Anuj’s character have become very dear to me. Once I conclude this I will join you guys in trolling the teen tigara kaam bigara 😂

Loved how Maaya is shown to be hardworking ! She was concentrating on her exams and rightly so.

This Samar , omg what do I say .. I hate the actor playing Samar. It's like suddenly has become younger in age with no grace or depth to his character. But finally, he is defective too. That's actually much more aligned to the shah house traits.

And maan are finally divorced ! Just what I thought, she will act all Mahaan. 😂😂

Great work !

Aisha, I wrote something on MAA 🤣

Finally they are divorced👏🏼. Anuj should asked Samar, what is good about being married to your mom?😂😡🤣. Went on to explain she spend more time taking care of all of you here than me and choti. It was because of her, I lost my child.🤦🏻‍♀️

Not happy handing KM to her but, if it get rid of her and her greedy family, go for it.
