For Rishta they killed off Naira cause Star most likely told Rajan Shahi that they want to take the show off air. Rajan Shahi negogiated for a generation leap, to restart DKP's flagship show and Star wanted DKP to do a bengali remake. Cause Star is obsessed with having Bengali show remakes right now. Hence Sirat came after Naira died. So that there could be a half sister for when they do the generation leap. Then they killed off both Kartik and Sirat. Rishta season 3 is a hindi remake of the Bengali show Icche Noodi. Follows the same overall premise as the OG.

Star plus is TRP hungry channel is what I have realised till now, they don't care about stories and it's proper ending.. Let's hope they don't ruin Anupama, as Rajan shahi has ruined his other shows.
