You mean home wrecker kya?

See it was Anupama's fault because she probably didn't give her husband what he wanted and he's a man. all that bullshit 😴

It's pretty shameful that Samar suggested calling Anuj "Dad" when you think about it. If that doesn't hit him hard in the chest, nothing ever will.

Imagine your own child hates you that much they would rather call another man that they have known for 2 mins Dad over you??

I do think he has some redeeming qualities when it comes to him being a father, but obviously a long ways to go as a person.

interesting how men look to impress other men more than their wives, parents, kids, etc. as long as anuj thinks that he is competition and can stand toe to toe with him, he doesnt really care about anyone else. it's all about anuj.

Ekta, im tagging you cuz i want to hear what you have to say about this...

I found the whole tashan/face off weird simply because the makers would never let Anuj win over V and all his preaches so far have fallen flat.

Although, keeping all that aside for a minute and just watching this scene as is, whatever vanraj said wasnt incorrect to a slight extent. Any father would feel hurt if he sees his kids ponder over the thought of “replacing” his position in their lives and/or “adding” another person at that level. So somewhere yes he is guilty/hurt etc.

But not all of it is justified because he has never been a good father or role model. No good father will abuse his wife/mother of his kids, charac assass her in front of them, stay silent when his mother continued to hurl abuses at Anu and so many such instances.

After watching the prequel, I don’t think there are many opportunities left to redeem him. I still hope pakhi finds out about what her hero father did to her mother!

27 years of abuse which all the kids are witness to will need a lot of redemption work. Not saying it won’t work but like you said as a person, it will be even more. To cut it short, they can show him move on in his life (with or without his current wife) and try and build on his professional graph. And at the same time accepting that he’s far from being a perfect father and decides to co-parent cordially and open up to them raw!

to your last point, yes I agree there too. Yes he is jealous of Anu going away not because he loved her or anything but because Anuj has given her all that he couldn’t and more than that, he is jealous of how perfect Anuj is in all departments. And this kids’ bit was like the final nail! Unfortunately for V, Anuj is too happy in his own world to even care about him and that hurts him even more! Not an uncommon trait though (generally speaking)

Redeeming vanraj makes no sense, then how will they drive the story?

He's free ka drama in MaAn equation and can be flipped as per convinience too.

home wrecker toh Khair she was. And that wasn’t just because of Anu no? He had a big role to play. Infidelity is never the solution to this. There’s always a way out. Amicable separation. But he chose to go down a wrong path. Both kavya and vanraj are responsible. Not Anu.

Well that’s besides the point. I think what Ali meant was why is no sarla Aunty and likes sunaaoing kavya for getting remarried or vanraj’s second wedding after 3 kids? Why all the hate and dialogues just for Anupama?

Second, why no one questioned (or atleast I can’t remember if they did) when Anu decided to stay in that house post divorce?

Why no questions were raised by anyone then? Why did the padosi aunties keep questioning baa (who is not even anu’s saaas) on anu’s friendship with AK in that whole dusshera segment?

Why was everything directed towards Anu? Why was Baa always ok with vanraj’s friend kavya and not with anu’s friend Anuj? (And she was toh not the bahu anymore)

actually no, honestly, they can redeem him and still continue with the drama. The only change would be that the drama will become more positive.

Drama was never an issue in this serial. It is the crass drama and the toxicity that it is now bringing is the problem.

They can’t show him as an anti-hero, fine. Show him as a proper charac. There isn’t any hero to this story. It is and will be all about anu’s journey. So they can focus on that - her prof and personal journey. And a parallel story for vanraj.

It will be a refreshing change for the audience too. They can throw in some random baa drama on and off! And then weave in some kids’ drama too. Will work wonders in terms of social message too. Co parenting is a real deal in today’s time and they can and should really cash on it!

yeah that’s where he fails them miserably by disrespecting their mother. what doesnt pakhi know? i thought she knew everything? anuj is anuj…he is on cloud 9 and never getting off. not sure what they wanted us to get out of the prequel (still trying to figure it out tbh )

Compound with Vanraj's narcist personality he can only see the blame in others but never in his own behavior. He never believes he did anything wrong, but the factors in his life lead to his monstrous actions.

yeah he has narcissist written alll over him. no matter how much you try to explain it to them they have this impenetrable force that just blocks out anything. you only see them soften up when they need someone to act in their benefit so they can being that balance back to their crazy world

Where was this when he trapped Malvika and seperated brother and sister who have no one else in the world? The person who stooped so low and plotted to snatch Anuj's wealth is talking about Anuj snatching his "things" now.

Jab apne pe aati hai toh rone lagta hai ye aadmi warna aise I AM VANRAJ SHAH jungle ka raja blah blah 😏

Love Anuj's response though 💞
