I've been a fairly silent reader of the forum, joined after Anuj's entry, and have been obsessed with MaAn. I'm not a writer in any way so just giving this a shot. I had an idea for Valentine's Day so I really wanted to put that into words. This is my first time writing so please bear with me and I hope you all like it.đ

It's been a year since Anu confessed her love to Anuj on Valentine's Day. They got engaged a few months after Valentine's Day but held off on getting married as things at Shah House had taken a turn for the worse. Toshu has denied taking any responsibility for the baby which resulted in Kinjal living with Anupama throughout her pregnancy and even now while she took care of a newborn baby.
Anuj had started a new business and was keeping very busy working day and night. Even though he was back to being business tycoon Anuj Kapadia, he refused to move to any other house as he loved being Anuâs neighbor and the simplicity of this life. Their lives were very busy, but Anu and Anuj were very happy. Anu loved going to dance academy during the day, taking care of Kinjal and the baby at home, and spending any time possible with Anuj. Be it dinner in his place, chai at Anuâs, going grocery shopping, arguing whether who is better at hopscotch, or spending the evening sitting in the balcony with Anuâs head resting close to Anujâs heart. After several pinches from Anu throughout the year, Anuj had finally believed that after 26 years, he had the love of his life.
They had celebrated Valentine's day a few days before as Anuj was going to be out of town on 14th for business meetings and wasn't returning until close to midnight. Anuj went all old school with taking Anu for a movie, then dinner, then dancing and then a long walk. As they walked hand in hand, Anuj kept saying âI love you Anuâ, and Anu kept replying âMain bhiâ.
It was Valentine's Day now, and Anu was terribly missing Anuj. Anu knew Anuj would be exhausted when he comes home tonight so wanted to do something to make him feel as special as he always made her feel. On her way back home from dance academy, she bought some long stem red roses, and as many heart shaped balloons as she could find. She took Anujâs homeâs emergency key and set her plan to action. After a few hours, pleased with her work, she locked the house and went home.

It was 11:00 PM when Anuj finally stepped out of the taxi. He wanted to see Anu but didn't want to disturb her as she woke up several times during the night with Kinajl and the baby and needed all the sleep she could get. As he walked home, he re-read the last text Anu sent him before she went to sleep âHappy Valentines Day again my Shona! Love you to the moon and back! Good Night â¤ď¸â Bringing his phone clenched hand to his heart he sighed and fumbled to get his keys out of his pocket.
Moving towards the door, he stopped short, finding a red rose and pink note attached to the lock. Smiling ear to ear, he smelled the rose and read the note - âAagaye Aap! Yeh kabse apki rah dekh raha tha..â
Smiling, he entered his house, dropped the luggage, and sat on his couch lovingly staring at the rose. Wanting to drink water, he turned to the jug on the side table, only to find another rose and a note. âFridge main chocolate milk bhi hai, Mr Bholuram!â Laughing, he drank a glass of water, placed the notes in his chest pocket, picked up the roses and made his way to the kitchen.
Entering the kitchen, his eyes turned into saucers!! On the counter, were 2 roses with Chocolate Fudge and Halwa. Shaking his head unable to believe his luck, he read the note âAaj ke din to mitha banta hai na Mr. Sweetest Kapadia! Oh mere liye thoda baccha lijiyega ne, kal breakfast main khate haiâ Another note in his pocket, he ate the sweets, shouted âI love you Anuâ and then drank the chocolate milk from the fridge.
Feeling his heart had grown a bit larger, he came back to the living room, and took off his jacket and tie. Placing his laptop bag on his study table, he opened his desk drawer to put his watch. Sighing he whispered a loving âAnuuuâ at the sight of another rose and note in his drawer.
âAnuj, Aapka pyaar toh woh kisse kahaniyoon, shayari wala pyaar hai.. Mera pyaar toh kuch bhi nahi..toh bus yeh thodi si koshish kar rahi hoonâ ⌠A lone tear fell off his eye as he added the note to his chest pocket. Breathing deeply, feeling the love Anu has for him in his every breath, he headed to his bedroom, still clenching all the roses in his hand.
Opening his bedroom door, he was left stunned! He stood there for a few minutes, shocked to his core, then took off his glasses and tried to clear his eyes, unable to believe the sight in front of him. The bedroom floor was covered with heart shaped balloons, his bed has a fresh bedsheet, his night clothes laying on the bed with yet another rose and a note. Walking in as if in a trance, the balloons dancing at his feet, he picked up the rose and note..
âAnuj, main aapse bohot bohot pyaar karti hoon. Thank you meri life main aane ke liye.. Main sirf aapki hoon and sirf aapki rahoongi.. Hamesha..

Anuj read and re-read the note as he sat on the bed. He felt more Happy, Loved, Cherished, and Lucky, then he had ever felt in his life. Only Anu could make him feel all this without even being in front of him. He couldn't take it any longer and messaged Anu âBaby are you awake?â
As he returned from the restroom after changing, his phone beeped with Anuâs reply..
âHaan.. Main bahar aa rahi hoon.. 1 Min ke liye mil sakte hai?â He ran to his door faster than ever before. Even after a year of courtship, his heart skipped a beat at the sight of his Anu. Anu stood outside her door, open hair pulled to one side, in the yellow sari which she wore the day before Valentine's Day last year. Taking quick long steps towards Anu, Anuj stopped in front of her and found the same love in her eyes that he had been feeling.
Anu who has just spent a day, that too Valentine's Day, missing Anuj like crazy, all she wanted was to be in his arms. âAnu woh.. yeh sab, tumne mere liye â Anuj said as tears started to fill his eyes. Anu placed her hand on his lips and looked into his eyes and timidly said âAnuj⌠zara mujhe apni baahoon main lelege pleejjâ
Wiping his eyes, Anuj spread his arms, while Anu swiftly plunged into him, resting her face at his heart. Anuj wrapped his arms around Anu, holding onto his love, his life, his everything.
After a few minutes, Anu said into his chest âHameshaâ...
Anuj smiled and placed a soft kiss on her head and replied âHamesha..â
