Anuj's current condition has nothing to do with him, Malvika, or Vanraj.. But entirely about Anupamaa.

She couldn't have gone from divorcing a middle class man to dating a multimillionaire. No no.. What kind of a woman would that have made her? Obviously a gold digger! Indian women, specially moms, aren't supposed to attain luxury & comforts that easily. They always have to undergo tribulations of useless sacrifice & selflessness. 🤡

Anuj had to fall to dust for Anupamaa to prove how mahaan she is. Her profession of love couldn't have happened while he was a social class above Vanraj. The imprint of useless sacrifice is the one thing that makes Indian women relatable & respectable. 🤪

Hmmm, yes this is precisely why the whole vanika vs MaAn track failed.

I had thought about it earlier when show turned into bitter torture a week back ...What would have happened if Anuj-Mukku fallout had come after Anu confessed her feeling to Anuj. In my opinion then they would have got lil more consideration for Vanika challenging MaAn togetherness...Why because first of all MaAn story would have reached it's first milestone...it completes a circle with Anu finally actually moving on from a dysfunctional broken marriage with the prince charming, gem of a man, she deserved and met at college reunion....That itself would have made a very positive backdrop on which utter negative Vanika and very painful fall down of 'Anuj the Kapadia' would have become less annoying and bearable...

But they chose to drag the audience excitement and moreover kept fuelling it with making Anuj guilt ridden and vulnerable with each turn...Had they made the sauve rational business tycoon achieve a relationship with Anu successfully first..All this drama of him being at emotional crossroads between Anu n Mukku would have worked better....Just my opinion
