Honestly, he had given her a really good option and the buildup to his suggestion that they live separately was nicely done to show parallels. He voiced what most of us felt while he was married, cheating and divorcing Anu. He once told marrying Anu was a burden, a mistake, an unwanted responsibility BUT until given an option he realized what an error of judgement he made. His poor discernment of character. He clearly recognized that he did do wrong to one wife so he won’t do the same for his 2nd … even if she doesn’t deserve that support and companionship like his 1st wife had true rights to.
He never picked spouse over family, over himself BUT he decided to make it an option. He disapprovingly intimidated, demeaned in new ways when Anu rebounded from old slanders, attempted to raise his hand to her, and threw her out of the house but didn’t act this way with Kavya at all - despite how deserving she finally was of this ire.
If living with his family was his dream - he was willing to be in purgatory with Kavya. How Kavya inferred this to mean they’d live in the streets amuses me BUT okay. Went from 0-100 real quick. Also, while she lauds herself for stealing the property - I find it ironic that she became Rakhi’s puppet. Also, what does it matter whom Anu signs the papers to … it’s better that no opening is left for someone to say she’s keeping hold of Shah house. Her being kind means she would take the extra step to care whom the house goes to — yes, she didn’t read the papers BUT Baa and Kavya were seen as family or close people to her (despite Kavya thinking she’s an outsider). Everyone signed off bc they see her as one of them… another irony in Kavya’s viewpoint. She only will accept what fits her viewpoint or standard of relativity. In this way she was able to swindle everyone.

I don’t see V divorcing her BUT I do feel like some plot time will be taken to show him becoming the bread-winner alpha male Kavya chased after, him having strife with Kavya, him becoming more aware of what he lost, and him further dealing with emotions regarding MaAn despite being somewhat open to them based off of this epi.
