If bapuji really cares and treats Anupama like a daughter, he can very well tell her to go and stay somewhere else and NOT slog for the Shah family anymore. He sees her being verbally abused every other hour. But still chooses to do nothing. He can very well tell her that his intentions are for her own good, that she leave the house. And aplogize for manipulating her to stay back.

Of course, Anupama can decide this herself, but she still allows menial treatment metted out to her.

I have seen few relatives couple in extended family.

Baa-bapuji age.The mil is blabber talks , doesn't think twice before saying or insulting anyone in front of anybody. Can stoop at level, doesn't have a crass language like Leela or doesn't have regressive thinking. But in case of any altercation will speak her mind assuming she is right.

Fil is a nice person, always trying to keep it together but is always dominated by mil. Even if he tries hr can't because the wide doesn't let him

Its just the nature the FIL calm, non confronting have tried his best to make mil understand but haven't worked and with growing old age he stopped bothering.

Mil nature is dominating and always thinking she is right. Very loud and will not stop.

So I do understand bapuji stand, there are ppl like him. It's just not their nature, and to maintain a decorum of house give in. Offourse in real life , you don't have so many fights and drama like everyday it's once a while thing.

Another example is a young couple in late 30's againa relative. The wife talks shit, will disrespect elders or snap on anyone. But the husband doesn't say a word. Even if she is disrespecting his parents or families, knows that she is wrong but won't say anything. I asked him why, he said because he loves her and don't want to fight with her. 🙃

There are lot of bapuji in real life too.

The only thing that he can so is let Anupamaa go because nobody treats her like daughter.

Leela is a monster that Anu created. She allowed herself to be bullied & still can barely stand up to Baa without making weird pouty faces. This family broke as shit yet they act like the Ambanis. Dunno what 'izaat' this burn toast family keeps referring to

A share in the property doesnt mean she has to forcefully live there. She can still have her share while living elsewhere. I dont think this is uncommon.

Dolly too has a share, she doesnt live here, does she?

Of course, like you said, it is best that Anupama takes the decision herself. But the topic is about bapuji.
