If they do not show anu falling in love with anuj or even hurting him unintentionally na , ppl wld be mad at anupamaa for hurting him and wld even start to hate her.

The vibe between DevNuj has been shown as a carefree buddy vibe here, which is why people may presume that they have a chance or the fact that Devika may have feelings for him.

Infact the base of their relationship is more like that of a brother sister bond like Samar and Kinjal's.

Sorry to bring in this reference again, but if anyone has watched Bengali version, Rohit and Antara (Anuj and Devika) bonded over their respective unrequited love. Devika there was in a relationship with the corresponding counterpart of Sanjay (Vanraj's BIL) and never married after he married Dolly.

I know it sounds scandalous here but is was a good emotional angle there.

Here Devika is a divorcee who left her husband because he cheated, so it's heartbreak as well.

When people bond over failed relationships, it doesn't necessarily need to amount to a romance.

As a person who has seen Devika's character develop in a great way in another version, I wouldn't want her to be a kabab me haddi here. Jasveer has played negative roles in past but she is doing good as a strong positive character here, who has stuck by Anupamaa inspite of being insulted by her many times, so I would want her to continue that way.

I swear the thought crossed my mind when Devika was consoling Anuj yday. I was like what if Devika ko bhi Anuj pasand ho.😀
