It would be good to see something like this in the show. Want to see a mature love story developing not something rushed and marriage due to societal pressure to stop the gossiping. Shahid Mubarak started off on a good route and then just went all weird and finally off air. I do hope that they have a good build up in the serial.

Part 2
"Hu Tame Prem Karu Chu. I love you, Anuj. I love you".
What followed her confession was a dead silence before a thump sound followed as the bag slipped from Anuj's grip and dropped to the floor. With his back still towards Anupama, he took a step back and quietly shut the door.
"What did you just--
Anuj spun on his heels then, his eyes the size of saucers as he stared at Anu, her head still bent low.
"Anu,tumne..."
As she finally looked up into his eyes, he was struck. Starstruck. Lovestruck. Dumbstruck.
While he gaped like a fish, Anu tried to calm down her nerves. They were raging wild.And she didn't know what to feel- to laugh at Anuj's stupid face or to cry,because she didn't know what to expect. She was happy still, scared too. Hey Kanha!
Was he day dreaming again?Perhaps it was her fragrance he had inhaled a few moments ago that was driving him insane. He looked at her again. She was worrying, and waiting. Did she really....?
He fidgeted with his glasses then, confusion painting his features. And as she looked his way again, he cleared his throat determined to affirm what he had just heard or what he had thought he had heard.
"Did I....Did you just...." He trailed, his finger pointing from her to himself.
She shook her head at his disbelief but as his eyes furrowed in confusion, she palmed her face. He was more troubled than her!
Gathering her nerves, Anupama nodded embarrassed, in response.
Anuj blinked in succession, baffled, confused and blank as hell.
"I..."he cleared his ears then and continued, "must've misheard because there is no way you just said that you lov--
"I love you, Anuj", she proclaimed, positively exasperated cutting off his words and watched as all expressions drained from his face.
While she stared at him expectantly with a flushed face and fingers crossed behind her back, his heart stopped, then started beating, before it skyrocketed.
Anu loves me.

Anu LOVES ME!!
And soon a lone tear escaped his eye, as his face lit up with a charming smile. Finally!
"Why are you crying?" Anu panicked then, as Anuj chuckled and wiped his eyes with the back of his sleeve.
"Because I am happy. Very happy." He chuckled again as he took a step forward and dropped on his knees.
Started,Anu took a step back and looked down at Anuj who gazed back at her with misty eyes and heartwarming smile.

Gently,he pulled at her hands as she uncrossed her fingers and allowed him to hold her hand. And surprising her, he pressed his eyes against the back of her hands.
Then he craned his neck to face her, looking impossibly handsome to her.
"I..I love you too, Anupama. I have always loved you. And I always will. Forever and ever."
As the tension of his reply wore off, anupama's legs buckled up, and she droppedby his side, her eyes tearing up.
"Tum bhi mujhse..." She fumbled, now the one in disbelief. To think that someone like him felt that way about her!
Anujbeamed ear to ear as he forwarded his hand towards her but hesitated andpaused. It was his turn to be surprised when anupama clasped his hand andplaced it against her cheek.
Hethen gently wiped her eyes, while lightly caressing her cheek."This..feels like a dream. To think, there will come a day, when you will look at me with so much love".
"Itna pyar karte ho mujhse?"
Anuj shook his head then, "Tum soch bhi nhi sakti, utna pyar".
"Then why were you leaving me?"
Anuj burst into a short bout of laughter as he pulled back, "It was a just short tour, Anu. I just wanted to check on my hotel there. Though, I agree I was in a rush to leave because ab aur tolerate nhi ho raha tha. Mere tumhare liye jo jazbaat hai, unhe chupana mushkil hota ja raha tha".
Anupama folded her legs and asked, "Then why didn't you tell me?"
In response, Anuj glared herway albeit mockingly. “And you would’ve said yes? Tum bhaag jaati !” He emphasized taking in a deep breath, “If I would have confessed in the start, we wouldn’t have been here today. And after a while, this friendship became too important for me to jeopardize. I was content with what I had. I mean I was trying to be” Anuj shrugged.
“And for the record, I had to force this confession out of you”, He remarked chuckling as supported his elbow against his thigh,placed his face in his palms and stared at her lovingly, “But I don’t mind”.
Anu tucked in her legs and smiled at him, “Iske aage kya?”
“Hm”
“As you said Anuj, I wasn’t planning on telling you, today or ever for the matter”, Anupama got up then and stood with her back to Anuj. He got up after her, sensing her disturbed state.
She turned to face him then, as he faced her sincerely like he always had. “Tum mujhse kuch bhi share kar sakti ho, Anu”
She nodded in acknowledgement. “Just like you, I was content with what we had. You have become my most prized person, Anuj and I didn’t want to lose you over a failed confession. I was so conflicted. I knew if I were to get rejected, it would hurt. Jabse tum mile ho, sirf khushiyaan hi aayi hai mere hisse toh ab dard ki tolerance kam ho gayi hai. I also didn’t want to hurt you, my past to hurt you…par ye meri galat fehmi thi. It wasn’t about you but me”
Anu paused and moved to sit on the sofa. This was already taking a toll on her.
“I love you Anuj. I wasn’t sure about this but now I am. And I’m very happy that you reciprocate my feelings. Mera dil….” Anu chuckled, “Usain bolt ki raftaar se bhaag raha hai abhi bhi. I am happy and yet I’m terrified Anuj. It has been some 2 years since the divorce, but I’m still not over it. Darr lagta hai ki kahin history repeat naho jae. I- I know you are not Mr. shah, I trust you more than I love you par ye darr phir bhi hai. Agar kabhi tum mujhse door ho gaye toh, main toh shayad jee nhi pau—
“Anu!” Anuj interrupted her as he went over to the sofa and kneeled by her side, “Aisa kabhi nhi hoga. Because there is no Anuj without Anu in it”.
“I know and yet I don’t know. Meri apni shaadi se expectations thi hi nahi but I always stood upto expectation of others. Fir mujhe inn expectations se azaadi mil gayi. And I will say it, it was and is the sweetest. And now, I don’t know if I have it in me to rise to your expectations but I would never want to disappoint you. Just like you are the reason of my happiness, I want to be the reason behind your smile. But I don’t think I can do it the way I am now”
Anupama took in a deep breath then, “As much as I want to be with you, I don’t think I am ready for any commitment. I know it’s cruel, kese main tumhe vo sab deny kar sakti hoon that you deserve. But I am just so….afraid.” And she hid her face in her palms.
“Mujhse pyaar karti hu?”
She looked up suddenly as Anuj asked the question, and as he raised his brow, she nodded, “Karti hoon”
“Mera sath chahti ho?” He asked another, and she nodded still.
“Do you want ki aaj jo bhi hua, hum use bhul jae?” Anu shook her head vehemently.
“It was the best moment of my life. And it is the best day of my life”.
Anuj cracked a smile at her as he clasped her hands, “ Mere liye itna hi kafi hai.You don’t have to worry about my expectations, Anu. Meri sabse badi chahat tum ho. Give me some time, I will find a way to alleviate your worries. Till then,all you have to do is pay me every ounce of your attention and love. Can you do that?”
He asked with a smile and she nodded, with a smile of her own.
“Great then!” Anuj clapped his hands as he sprung into a standing position and spread his arms, “Toh fir jhappi pa. Kyuki humne suna hai, tune hum ko chuna hai”.
Anupama chuckled at his filmy manner and getting up, walked into his arms and embraced him tightly, thoroughly enjoying the coziness of it.
Anuj sighed too. His world was in his arms, and she fit perfectly. As was bound to. And will.
