what an ass this character Toshu is..just started watching this show and dont know much about Vanraj's character but from whatever I've seen of him the son seems like a true and nastier copy of the dad which I guess they get from the baa lady who is the queen of regressive thoughts...the trio suffer with a major problem of double standards.

Toshu has always been a pure sexist nightmare just like his father, yet somehow he is so much more worse. And the fact that any male in a woman's life no matter what the relationship is, always feels like he's entitled to dictate how her life should be and that he's her minder or guardian no matter what the age of the woman is is so infantilizing and frustrating. What in the world is this "mummy ke dost nahi hote". Papa ki dost thi aur woh toh ghar mein ghus gayi, tab badi understanding thi. And the fact that Vanraj watched Toshu spew this venom and was slightly smiling and that condescending smirk he gives Anupamaa in the promo while insulting her, really just the cherry on top of the infuriating sundae the last few episodes have been. Anupamaa may be a mother, but that's not all she is. And only if she discovers and asserts her identity as an individual and a woman, will this family stay in line. Considering someone in this house is entering into a partnership with such a big businessman shouldn't everyone in her so called beloved family be happy and proud of her? But no, Baa will of course only feel bad for her son and put down Anupamaa and now that Kavya has not got the project her "Anu" act will also dip and she will certainly stoop down to a new low as usual. And of course apart from Samar who never articulates himself well, no male in the family will stand up for her. Kinjal will also be told to shut up only by Toshu. Everyone will look on in disbelief, disdain and confusion but no one will go against Vanraj. Once again she needs to stand up for herself alone. But that also she should do properly, not continue to live in a place where she is merely a servant and expected to stand around and clap for everyone's achievements and pray to kanhaji for everyone's wellbeing, but expect nothing but insults in return.

Very well written. Vanraj has always termed Anupama and Samar as losers. P1 was always the father's pet. Both of them were ready to reject Anupama and pass off Kavya as Paritoshs mom. The elders were mute spectators and he went on name calling everyone and got away with it. He called her as reeking of spices and that he was ashamed of her. He was oposed to her driving, her signing for Bapujis surgery when Vanraj was in K avyas home.

He tried to sell the story of Vanrajs innocence, supported Kavya tried to trample over Kinjal and maybe married her knowing fully well he may not reach the position Rakhee offered on his own merit.

P1 will lose Kinjal if he doesn't mend his ways.

Toshu literally proves the proverb that the Apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. Also shows you that no matter how much money you have or how well spoken you maybe money can’t buy you class or manners or an open mind. The whole character is confused one minute he’s embarrassed by his mother. The next minute he is sorry. The next minute when his mother actually has high society friends which the gold digger in him would love - he’s got a problem because that friend is a man? And the irony of who he is telling this to his father. His mother’s supposed friend and the guy who had a girl friend while married and having three kids. Lol. I’m glad he got someone like Kinjal that puts him in his place constantly. Though she deserves much much better than him. Also part of me thinks he’s bitter about Anuj. Anuj is what Toshu wants to be but he can’t get there because he doesn’t have the capability because he’s holding his MILs pallu 🤔

In contrast you have Samar (don’t get me wrong but I really generally cannot stand his scenes with his shona babu and how he cries at literally everything) who is praying his mother finds love and happiness. And he asks that from his mother’s best friend I found that so beautiful.

The precap really boiled my blood and I hope Anu accepts this offer and puts that sorry excuse of a man in his place. Honestly he has an affair. Married the woman. And anu can’t have a male friend who actually liked her business idea. Not everyone treats diamonds like stones moron.

Alsoooo sorry this is a rather long post 😆 I would love for Anuj to find out about this and literally Chuck facts and figures at Vanya about why their proposal got rejected. So glad he went through his team and got this approved.

very well put honestly!! Yea even I want Anuj to analytically slaughter Kavya's and Vanraj's business plan infront of them! I watch a lot of shark tank, dragon's den ( these are shows where ppl come to pitch their ideas to well know business entrepreneurs and seek their financial support in their venture). A lot of ppl pitched a similar idea to that of Anupama's the idea of a homely touch to your services. Even though Anu's idea is very hypothetical and impractical with the help of a business guidance the idea can be worked.

I also wish that Anuj is not a goody two shoes, I want him to be a nice person that he is but when somebody tries to mess with him or his loved ones, they will have it coming, like the Anuj we got to see in "Toshu the useless" dream.

I watched DD as well but then became more of an Apprentice follower lol. And he said it to their faces what he thought of their ideas.

I NEED to see that Buddy boy AK 😆 it will puncture their egos - why they have them no clue. But honestly these father and son duo literally epitomise the quote that there is nothing more fragile than a mans ego. But we’ve seen shades of that Anuj when he put Kavya in his place but I agree with you I want to see more of it. I want these toxic people to be put in their places because we all know Anu will never do that. Unfortunately.

Also I can totally see Kavya supporting Anupama she knows where the money and power is 😆

All so Anu can be sympathized with...can't speak for others but I have no sympathy for Anu anymore so they can butcher and re-butcher characters but I will never like Anupamaa...she is anything but INDEPENDENT

The minute the writers pick Anuj I will switch the channel & never switch back
