And then she doesn’t want her daughter to be Anupama 2.0 who is just involved in household work and is treated like nothing by most of the family members. Being from a rich family, she doesn’t want her daughter to have anything less she was having at her own house. In starting episode, she mentioned how kinjal spends lakhs on shopping and everything. And in real life a person who has habit of doing such things will not get adjusted in such a conservative, reserved or hypocrite family. Moreover, their standard of living was much lower than daves, and no parent would want their girl to adjust so much if they have been providing their children with so much luxuries.

From the start Rakhi has been the practical character. If she would not have revealed vanrajs affair then everything would have been same. See always keeps the correct point. Though sometimes blames Anupama for unnecessary thing where not required but she is a practical character who just wants best for her daughter and is not negative in any way from that point.

Also in the initial stage, her contempt for Anupamaa for not being educated is justified in a way. She would want her daughter to go to a house where the MIL is educated enough. However we know the reason behind it, she doesn't. While she guesses Anupamaa didn't care enough to study, it was actually her pregnancy in the first year of marriage and then Vanraj's grandmother's reluctance that didn't let her study.

Honestly even I may have judged for me the way the person speaks, the respect that person commands is imp. If I feel a fam is misogynistic I may not like my children to be associated with them.

Education to an extent is imp, also respect

I am not sure if in reality I will respect a person who is a doormat ..if u put up with it it is and example not just for self but for u r kids

Exactly! like 100 percent true👍🏼

As audiences, we know the struggle or growth Anu has experienced. To Rakhi at most of the time, the Shah's family has been people who normalized EMA in name of sanskar. and Anu not openly and fiercely opposing to it makes her weak and as Kinjal pointed out - it makes people question Anu's stand on this entire issue.

As the third person so far, who has not witnessed Anu's entire journey - it is fair for Rakhi to have that kind of opinion of Anu or the family.

If I were to be in Rakhi's place - with that limited knowledge I also won't have respect for Shahs or Anu. Let alone having my daughter marrying in that family. If rakhi were to be a complete stranger, she wouldn't have cared but she does because of her daughter.

Makers do portray her character poorly every once in while, but I don't recall Rakhi supporting anything morally wrong.

As a person, she has always been morally right and she is certainly a way better human than Vanraj, Baa, Toshu, Pakhi, and Kavya.

Hiii

I used to be quite active on india forums few years ago but then I deleted my account. However this serial forced me to be active again. I must say this one is quite realistic. One of the characters which force me to take notice is Rakhi Dave. She is very practical and realist. From day one I like her though sometimes she is over dramatic and looks like a vamp but I think whatever she does is due to her daughter. I am also a mother of a daughter and I will never approve a family where the daughter in law is treated like a door mat and a son who is hesitant or rather ashamed to introduce his own mother to his would be in laws. Shah family all sanskari traditional but dil are treated like glorified servant and which mother will want her najo nakhro me pali badhi highly qualified daughter to become a servant.

Rakhi ka as mother anupama kar dard samjhana isse yehi lagta hai rakhi ko samajh aa raha hai anupama ne kinjal ko maa ki tarah pyaar diya anupama ne kinjal ko naukrani ki tarah treat nahin kiya to aaj anupama aur rakhi ek mutual bond share kar rahe hain

i Dont find extra ordinary thing that rakhi thinking about her own daughter and Dont want to her daughter to get married in shah family because rakhi kya koi bhi maa apni beti ko musibat mein nahin dekhna chahegi

Koi badi baat nahin agar rakhi apni beti ki future ke bare mein worry thi kyonki har maa apni beti ke ke future ko lekar worry hogi kyonki woh uska own blood hota hai

Apne bache ke bare mein sabhi maa sochti hai

Baat to tub badi hoti hai hoti hai jub koi maa doosri maa ka dard samjhe doosre ki beti bachche ke bare mein soche jaise anupama ne kinjal ko pyaar diya ,anupama ne school ke bacchon ko fire se bachaya aur usi tarah rakhi ne pakhi ke bare mein socha to yeh mere liye badi baat hai

This I agree she is a realist and has not supported anything morally wrong.

I don't understand why women who have a successful career are made to feel guilty about it and men are not. Both parents need to give time and it's all about balance

I am.like Rakhi and just about to get back to a full time job. Some of us just don't have the luxury of not working to give your child a better life and education

Rak has given her daughter a great education and from what I see kinjal is a independent smart and we'll behaved individual

I do watch this off and on coz I just can't stand Anupama not stand up to baa sometimes even when it becomes bad

She does not know to draw a line and i know it's ITV but just upsets me and reminds of things I fought to go against as I grew up

Yes Yes and Yes...

I kinda hate the fact that Anupamaa gives her weird looks for speaking bitter taunts for the facts which are actually true. Like you can be a doormat for the convenience of your parents-in-law but why should the world comply?

She was also right in doing a stealth plan for VanYa exposition in the resort. The ever mahaan Anupamaa would have never let that happen under normal circumstances.
