They showed she is suffering from stress-induced diabetes which can very well happen to anyone who is in her condition. She made lots of sweets for Diwali, has not taken care of her health and not even gotten herself a yearly medical checkup in many years so she was not aware she had diabetes. It was when she started to faint due to the lack of glucose in her system (she was not eating too well after the revelation coz she was mentally disturbed) that her eldest son took her to the Dr and got her checked. Stress-induced diabetes can happen to anyone, does not need them to be old, not be exercising or being overweight 😊

In the Marathi version, Aru (Anu) is filing for a divorce against the consent of her MIL (FIL believes she is right) + learning English, how to make masks and other easy-to-create origami sorta stuff from Isha (Pakhi) to teach kids arts and crafts once the school reopens in January. She is also conducting singing classes with Yash (Samar). The oldest son Abhi (Toshu) has gotten a new job as an intern under a doctor, and is also seen to be falling for Anagha (a psychiatrist) who has come out of a painful marriage. Baa is uncomfortable about Abhi's (Toshu) marriage now, while Aru (Anu) thinks Anagha is great since she has made Abhi (Toshu) address his unresolved feelings and somewhat move on from his painful break-up with Ankita (Kinju's Marathi counterpart - She had insulted the family when they could not afford to send the eldest son to the UK to study for Masters with her).

The younger one Yash (Samar) and his counterpart Gauri (Nandini) are going strong and her mother, who is coincidentally also Anirudh's (Vanraj)'s new boss seems to like him for her daughter, but Gauri wants to first evaluate the situation and the get married. Anirudh (Vanraj) has been trying to pressurise Sanjana (Kavya) to ask her sister to allow him to keep his job, but the sister refused to listen to Sanjana about professional decisions and also politely told off Baa when she tried to intervene and force her to change her decision because they treat Gauri (Nandini) well despite Sanjana (Kavya)'s antics. Shekhar (Anirudh) talks to Anirudh (Vanraj) about how he has no rights on anyone anymore, making him realize he misses his family and he blames Aru (Anu) for all that has happened in his life. Aru's (Anu's) birthday is to be celebrated in the next week and it looks like she will announce her decision to divorce Anirudh (Vanraj) and then further drama will unfold! No accident has happened in the Marathi version yet.

Ofcourse. Ankita was actually right in her place, just the way they portrayed it in AK3 wherein she insulted the family, that was uncalled for. Similar to Rakhee in the Hindi version, they ruined Ankita for me in AK3. Actually used to like her/find her very practical and level-headed till then 😊

Anupama and Vanraj got divorced. Vanraj married Kavya. Kavya abuses Baa. Baa starts to realize Anu's worth. Any talks back to Baa. Pakhi hated Anu for a while. Now they are again in good terms. Amy's childhood lover has entered. He is helping Anu to become an independent woman. Kavya taunting Any for having an affair. Kavya somehpow tricked Baa to give her Shah mansion. She then unknowingly sold it to Sreemoyee. Sreemoyee wanted to throw her away from the house but Kavya revealed she is pregnant. Now Sreemoyee has become soft towards Kavya as she is pregnant. Samar has married a girl who filed a domestic violence case on Anu.

Tamil version, the guy, Gopi, is not having a full blown affair, he frequently visits his ex-flame and college love, Radhika, and her 8 year old daughter. He, of course, has a huge crush on Radhika. Radhika is friendly with Bhagya not knowing Bhagya is Gopi’s wife. Radhika doesn’t appear to be negative. Gopi though he is not having an extra-marital affair so to speak is terrible to Bhagya, constantly deriding her and saying she is useless and good for nothing. Bhagya is starting a masala packaging/selling business. Her daughter in law, Jenny (Kinjal) is going to help her. Jenny is Christian and the mother in law, Ishwari, had a problem with an inter caste marriage but Bhagya convinces all of them and Chezhian marries Jenny. The second son, Ezhil, does not have a love interest. He is trying to become a film director and has dropped out of engineering school which has incensed his dad. The younger girl, Iniya, is a brat but not too bad. Radhika (Kavya)’s husband (Rajesh) is a bad apple and when he finds Gopinath visiting his wife warns Gopi. Friday’s epi, Rajesh appeared at Gopi’s house and warned him to stay away from his wife. Gopi lied to his parents and wife and said he was going to Rajesh’s house to collect some money the man owed him and as Rajesh wasn’t home, he, Gopi, had to speak harshly to Rajesh’s wife which is what has angered Rajesh. The family believes Gopi.
I love the childishness of Bhagya and her impertinent comments about Gopi which she often makes to herself and to her son, Ezhil.
