I’m extremely disappointed by Toshu’s and Kinjal’s wedding. Never been SO disappointed in a long time tbh. I mean, how can two ppl of their age be SO IMMATURE? Look at Toshu: Doesn’t have a job, a spine, or even sanity to deal with a stressful situation. Had it not been about his marriage, he wouldn’t have minded V’s behaviour towards Anupama(the way he never did before). How can a girl love such a person, who doesn’t take a stand for his mother, without being selfish? And who behaves like kid in every situation.

And then Kinjal disappoints me. I thought she was a wise girl. But na, she lOvEs Toshu, and doesn’t see the frustration of her mom.

I honestly feel bad for Rakhi. She had made very valid points about Toshu and his family. About how such a spineless person can’t be a good husband. Her frustration in last few episodes was extremely valid.

Lastly, Anupama. I know this might not go down well with many of you...but she IS biased in this situation. If she really loved Kinjal like a daughter, she would’ve made her stay away from her spoilt son, who has potential to reduce Kinjal to what Anupamaa had been to by Vanraj. But no, all she wants is Toshu’s happiness. Fgs i am so angry. She’s even defending the couple in the promo. Poor Rakhi should simply cut herself off from all this family drama now and let the messed up family deal with all this.

P.S WHY DOES NOT THE SHOW CONCENTRATE ON ANUPAMAA’S INDIVIDUAL DEVELOPMENT NOW? IT IS ALL ABOUT SOME FAMILY MEMBER OR THE OTHER.

I agree that Toshu and Kinjal shouldn't have got married just yet. But, there is very little they could've done about the situation. Becasuse they knew Rakhi will never agree even in the future when Toshu finished his studies and Kinjal finished her studies in the USA. Even if let's say in 2 years, Toshu finished his studies and got a job, Rakhi would still have opposed this relation! I mean she was literally threatening Kinjal to send her off to the USA and get her married to a man of Rakhi's choice. Isn't she being stubborn too? I understand as a mother, she is right that the Shah family is pathetic and not worth it for her daughter.

I get that Kinjal deserves better than Toshu but I believe if both of them really love each other then they would be able to get through this hard time together. So what if they got married before getting a job, they both were living with family and after marriage, they will also live in a joint family. So they will always have that financial support (i know finance is a problem right now since Vanraj left but they cannot keep on waiting for money, they will learn to manage). However, if they want to live independently and separate then there is no hope for them, then they definitely cannot manage without a job. But they will both live with the Shah family, supported by everyone to continue their study and the family will provide until they are capable to stand on their feet. I just hope they don't stop Kinjal's education and show their development gradually.

Kinjal is deeply in love with Toshu, she can see his bad qualities but cannot change them. Toshu himself has to realize and change it. For him to realize, Kinjal can try to make him understand but let's see how far that goes.. i'm not expecting any major change in his behavior.

@bold - I agree with you on that one. Anu is only thinking about Toshu's happiness without seeing all the problems. I think she believes everything will be okay after some time. She can't make her stay away from Toshu, Kinjal knows what spoilt brat Toshu is but still chooses to be with him (maybe she thinks she will be able to change him slowly.. but she has no idea how hard that's going to be).

Also, yes I would like to see more of Anupama developing and progressing in life, rather than the family drama.

Agree with everything you mentioned..I am more disappointed with Anupama..She is supporting the marriage and blames Rakhi that her son had to elope because Rakhi dint agree for marriage.

I want to see change in Anupama..But seems like it will only happen after long drag..

very much agree with you.. I don't understand the restlessness of marriage when you are still persuing your education.. I don't know which kind of good student he is to only be focused on his love life when it is time for focusing on clearing the exam and go in good college.. Anu has disappointed me not only now but many times.. in the name of my family she many times speak and behave stupid.. why can't Rakhi slap her daughter if she has now become DIL of Anu.. she still is mother of Kinjal and can scold her daughter.. By saying such statements she is again advocating Patriarchy.

I agree. I am not happy with Anupama's decision today. If she really considered Kinjal's betterment, she would be concerned about her. She knows Toshu is a spoilt brat, supports his dad for his wrongdoings, belittles his mother and brother. How can he be a suitable boy for anyone. If not all this, especially him supporting his dad's EMA, and Rakhi repeatedly pointing ALL THESE things out she should have taken Rakhi's side and make Kinjal understand. If you really love him then wait for him to mature a bit. And how is she going to help Kinjal when she herself cannot speak up in front of anyone. Kinjal's life would be hell (as in precap with baa) in this family. She should have told Kinjal that your mother is right. This family is not for you unless you are READY to change your lifestyle instead of giving false promises that I will lookout for Kinjal. That was just a BS. All she can do for Kinjal is give her a shoulder to cry and cry with her. 🤔

I think this was bound to happen. I dont agre that this was the right time to marry, HOWEVER their points were EXTREMELY fair. To be in their position with no end in sight.. kinjals mom would NEVER have agreed thats fact, and regardless was sending her away, and anupama vanrajs talking was not going to be very effective, i i frankly thought their points ahout everyone being self obssessed at the moment was COMPLETELY fair so why should they not be self obssessed as well?

I personally dont disagree with their statements. As children we often get neglected by "bade ke faisle" and indian audience always pushes for respect of elders and doing the right thing all the time, why does something like marriage ti someone have to be such a MAJOR talking point and open to public opinion ? I think its important ti show that nothing especiallt marriage when 2 people genuinly love eachother should be treated as a great debate all the time. Everyone always says marriage is between 2 families. Thats a VERY collectivist mindset. Marriage is LITERALLY between 2 people and family gets involved as a result of those 2 peoples decision to be with one another thats doesnt give fsmily any right to dictate whether 2 psople should decide to marry or not. Nor should marriage the way its done .. whether eloping or not, should be considered such a high crime that fanily has to "face reprecuasions" from court of public opinion. Everyones opinions are their opinions and caring what society thinks needs to END.

Frankly i think what they showed was an important talking. Point.

Agree wirh last point abiut the show moving away from ANUPAMAAs development.

As for other points, i dont think it was an immature decision. I think it was a decision made out of fesr of loosing someone and i dnt personally think its fair to say immature.

I do agree that toshu doesnt have a spine and is not settled or anything.. thats something he needs to sort out and both kinjal and toshu need to lesrn the meaning of marriage and not jist a haste decision.

But i think at the ends it was a decision. Good or bad isnt for anyoen to decide except the 2 people who made it. They just have to live with the meaning of their decision moving forward

In most of the other versions of the show, the elder son is already a doctor and is an earning member of the family.

Probably because of the age of Rupali Ganguly and Sudhanshu Pandey, the makers have showed the elder son as a student still.

However, the show has struggled a bit because of that.

It makes sense for a working couple to have a rush to get married as they can sustain themselves.

Not much in case of Paritosh and Kinjal, when they have not even completed their studies and are yet to find a job.

Keeping aside the family issues, they could have been portrayed as more pragmatic about their priorities.

@bold That is what I want to know. I signed up for watching that not this family drama and Vanraj's suffering or fights with Kavya. How amazing was the show when Anupama was taking small steps towards her new life but what is happening now is just so unexpected.

As per Kinjal and Toshu's marraige I think Rakhi's decision to send Kinjal to US pushed them into it. Toshu was always a baby and spoon fed used to getting what he wants right or wrong. I am not surprised that they did this. I am literally waiting for this to happen. Just didnt hope that the makers would span out the story like this.

But channel fascination for villians and Saas bahu drama......
