Thursday....

Shree's MD gets both Shree and Karthi in and demands whether they are married or not, saying he is not convinced. MD confronts them on what they were talking outside the office and confirms with the colleague- who says Karthi was telling Shree that he will definitely marry Shree (its none of anybody's business I think). Karthi says they were talking about their friend's marriage, not theirs.

MD asks the colleague to shut up and get lost (so rude). MD apologises, and they take leave.

MD then asks why Shree didnt put kungumam on her head on the hair parting, and says it is his policy that his staff must wear the kungumam in the hair parting as well. (What an idiotic company I must say).

Balu's wife polambufying about her lost child, starts getting violent with trying to leave the house and opens the door- she pushes patti down and tries to get out of the houes to get her child Selvi.

Balu consoles her and brings her inside and apologises to Patti. Patti goes back to sleep, but in deep thought. Hears Balu's wife crying all through the night for the child. Patti consoles her with great difficulty and advises Balu to go to the clinic in the morning and tell the doctor she is getting more emotional nowadays.

Shree in deep thought at night. Her mother comes in, asks why, Shree says her eyes are still not recovered so she cant sleep. Her mother says she doesnt believe she has sore eyes, but that she is is hiding a big sorrow. She tries to get her to talk, Shree says nothing is wrong. Her dad comes in, asks his wife not to disturb her. Mother and father talk in private, mother says Shree is definitely troubled, some fear or sorrow. She feels somehow she cant understand Shree's feelings. Her husband asks her not to imagine anything, all is ok with Shree.

Friday - my turn😭

Update for Friday, Dec 3, 2010:

Ganesh is worried about something. AAR asks him to eat his breakfast, he doesn't want to. True to her nature, AAR insists on knowing why, feels he is hiding something, he says he wants to go back to the US, says he was happy with his business there, she made him return to India, he wants to go back now. She tries to get him to go to the temple with her to meet Vicki's girlfriend, he refuses.

Surudhi (!!), Adhi and Vicky (vikki vikki) waiting at the temple. AAR comes to the temple, parks right outside the door, blocking the entrance (avaL thaan maharani aache!). Adhi is shocked to see her, Shruthi tells about his getting engaged to Nivedha, AAR wants to know why the engagement was broken, Adhi mazhuppufies. NP (nosy parker) AAR wants to know all. AAR is struggling to find the right expression for all this. Now AAR says she will nadathi Adhi's marriage also, along with Vicky's marriage - I guess she is a marriage broker. She can easily bring around Adhi's dad, she says and outlines her plan, in muted dialogs (thank you, God!)

There is a God, after all! Balu and Meenakshi are waiting in the doctor's office, she wants to see her daughter, Balu takes out the photo. She konjufies the photo, and guess who is sitting behind her? Gayatri and Srinivasan (??), Shree's parents. Gayatri is shocked to see her konjifying the photo.'

Monday 6/12/10

Well, the first two segments do not merit any update but still .... But before that Roja
watched the title song - the song by itself is written well and sung well but the idea
of justifying a two timer is.....ok..another thing is Roja suffered Pallu's dance - she
would be an excellent Potter's assistant !!! DhOm DhOm nnu kuthikkaraanga dance
ngra per le - Any kind of sand can be tempered and would be Potter's delight !!!
However Anu dances pretty ok !!!

Gayathri and Srinivasaan in the hospital. Just in front of them, Shreenithi's biological
mother is sitting - Shree's 3 year old photo in hand and is in a world of her own. The
adoptive ( adoption aa?? Enge??? Pappa vai thridunavanga , athaan unmai ) parents
get to know the story " Kumbakonam bus stand...3 years...lost our daughter..blah blah "
from the biological father. Gayathri feels guilty and tries to escape with out seeing the
doctor. As luck would have it , the couple come behind them and Meena (hubby peru
enna ppa??) puts her foot down " nama intha car le thaan pOganum.." Well that
happens to be Srini's car. Srini takes the couple home.

At home Srini probes " If your daughter is brought before your wife, will she be ok??"
Mr.Meena says that it is not possible - " she can not accept the fact that the daughter
would be grown up . The doctor said that the image of a 3 yr old is what she has in mind.
Apdi oru chinna pOnnai thaan she can accept as her daughter. Once she becomes alright..then it might help " The Shree siblings arrive and get introduced. Shreenithi recognizes the couple and talks to them nicely. Gayu and Srini are shocked to know
this but manage to hold their tongues. After the couple leave Gayu feels guilty and Srini consoles.

3rd segment is little interesting. Temple - Shreenithi is praying. RR and Sundu come
to the same temple - little kanna moochi re re re . Kaattu moochi re re re happens.
Shree first sees the duo and tries to scoot the arena.. But Sundu sees her and blocks
her from scooting. RR ...comes.....sees Shree face to face.....Sundu is oblivious to the
tension ( yen avarukku Shree is Nivedha's friend nnu theriyaathaa??) introduces
Shree as - "namba Karthik's girl..." RR is scorpion bitten thief... "ithu Nivedha friend
aache?? How does Sundu know her??" ( appo introduction RR kathile vizhaliyaa???).....

Tuesday - AAR unakku un husband Dinesh Ganesh kudukka pOraan aappu...

TUESDAY - 7th December 2010 Episode - 161

RR goes in search of Sundaram who introduces Shree as Karthik's lover (grrr..) RR thinks about Shree being Nivedha's friend. When Sundaram begins to introduce RR, Shree says she knows RR is Karthik's father and adds that she knowws him as Nivedha's father too.. Both SBTs look at each other. She wanted to avoid them, but Sundaram followed her... RR is happy for Shree's nalla manasu (unna kaatti kudukkalanaa nalla manasaa !!) RR begins to justify and is stopped by Shree, she knows that soozhnilai is the reason (my foot !) and not to ask how she is aware of the facts. Sundaram begins...Nivedha... and Shree the stupid promises not to breathe about it (moochchukooda vida maatten) to anyone. RR promises that she would be his DIL.. A very happy Shree thanks RR, also carries on with the news that RM knows the truth about RR's 2 poNdaatti , the reason for the wedding being called off is that. Aadhi is still in love with Nivedha...

Gopi goes in search of a junior artist agent, tells him of the plan to get SR married to some one rich , wants a junior artist who would act as if in love with MK. After initial no the agent tells the rate. Gopi promises to come with the money next day...

Nivedha is fast asleep with a book on her lap. The bell keeps ringing, Anu chases her to open the door. AAR at the doorstep. Periamma is welcomed in.. discusses about Vignesh's love, meeting Adhi and Shwetha at the temple, Adhi's confusion between AAR & Anu, then the story of the cancelled engagement. Anu updates on meeting Vasanthi (Adhi's mother) and how she too said Nivedha would be her DIL. Nivedha has a strange look on her face... AAR concludes all in the family want Nivedha as the DIL of their house except RM, Anu wants to know how to find the real reason, AAR has a plan (adhaanE paarthEn) and "everything" will come to light...Nivedha stops her periamma..tells is not interested in marrying Adhi for he is a coward..Both Anu and AAR try to convince, but Nivedha refuses to lend her ear, walks away to her room. As usual AAR says yaamirukka bayamEn...

Gopi's house- Gopi steals the money from the cupboard, turns around and sees SR and MK standing there...makes excuses on why he broke into the cupboard, saying its his money he was taking. SR calls him a thief and asks if he will ever learn. She says MK is at least an honest man, but Gopi is a kaevalamana man. She throws all her money at him, and volunteers to give all their things for him to sell and cash out. She asks why Gopi is stooping so low. Gopi cries, saying he has not been like this all his life. He says he used to be a good man, working to make an honest living. But someone in his office who was close to him cheated the office of money and put the blame on Gopi. This apparently changed Gopi's outlook on life because he was made to bear the consequence of his friend's dishonesty, so he has become dishonest himself. SR says he should stop all this behavior and eck out an honest living. MK says he will give Gopi a job in his new spare parts business. Gopi thanks him and cries (I guess he has now turned over a new leaf).

Vicki's house, with his parents and AAR- his mum and dad are happy with the bride Shruti's photo, and ask for her horoscope. Tharagar says SRM was happy with the whole arrangement and he is going to match the horoscope with their astrologer. AAR briefs the plot to Vicki's parents, that they saw the girl at the temple (and its not a love marriage).

SRM and wife go to astrologer to match the horoscopes. Astrologer says the match is perfect so they should go ahead with the wedding.

Shruti at home, anxious about what will happen at the astrologer's. Aadhi comes along and teases her. Wishes they had bribed the astrologer earlier to say yes to the marriage. Enter SRM and Vasanthi, revealing that the horoscopes match..Shruti is ecstatic... thodarum

Friday - God, please do us all a big favor and give AAR laryngitis! Thanks, God, for giving her sick leave and letting her stay away from the TV today!

Update for Friday, Dec 10, 2010:

Shruti and Adhi are very happy to hear that the horoscopes have matched. Vasanthi wants RM to proceed with the arrangements and call them, but he doesn't have the phone number. Adhi helpfully asks Shruti for the number, RM wants to know how Shruti knows the number and Adhi samalichufies by saying that Vicky's photo had the number at the back. Shruti gives him a glare for almost letting the cat out of the bag, and Adhi is wishing his own marriage proposal had gone this smoothly. RM dials the number, which is 984 ... something and I had a thought at this point - aren't the 984... numbers usually for cell phones? But here, Vicky's dad answers the call on a land line. Okay, maybe the script writer didn't know that I listen closely to such things! Mr. and Mrs. Padmanabhan (Vicky's parents) are agreeable to meeting RM and his wife, but Mrs. P says her brother must be consulted, because it was he who funded Vicky's education and nothing happens in their house without this brother's approval.

Shruti goes to her room and calls Vicky (aiyo poNNae, the door is wide open, what if your father comes and listens to you?). Vicky hasn't yet heard the good news, she gives it to him, and he wants to meet her in the evening. They agree to meet at the usual spot. Habba, thank God, her father didn't hear all this.

Gopi is walking down a street and a car passes him. The car stops and Ganesh gets out, and he tries to call someone on his cell phone. Couldn't he have called from inside the car? Did the car have to stop and he have to get out just to make a call? Anyway, Gopi sees him, runs up to him, grabs his shirt and says, Do you remember me? Ganesh says No, Gopi says You ruined my life, Ganesh pushes him away so he lands on the road, gets into the car and goes off. Gopi is left, staring at the retreating car.

The Padmanabhan household - Mr. and Mrs. P are nervous, because it is almost 3 and the RMs haven't yet arrived, her brother is yet to come, but if the RMs are late, he will get angry because he demands punctuality. Just then, Mr. and Mrs. RM arrive, they exchange pleasantries, and then the brother arrives (the same man who was the lawyer in Tirupaavai). The brother is happy that Mr. and Mrs. RM arrived early, explains that he expects punctuality, asks if their daughter is happy with the proposal. RM says yes, then he asks the Padmanabhans if Vicky is happy and whether he has seen the girl. Mr. and Mrs. P say No, he insists that the boy should see the girl, in case there are problems later, then he will say that it was all because his parents saw the girl, not he. Everyone agrees to this.

Mr. and Mrs. RM are returning in their car, and Mrs. RM says she is a little nervous about this brother, but RM says he likes this brother's way of dealing straight, and says such people can be trusted, so Shruti will be happy in her married life.

Gopi goes to an office and demands to see the MD, who is none other than Shree's boss (VTM). VTM doesn't look happy to see him, but Gopi says something to him (all muted) and he listens.

Accent akka Thollai is reserved for Rojaa??/ Habbaaaa

Ganesh recalls the G - 2 meeting (Rojaaaaa, periya nations meet aa?? Gopi and
Ganesh nnu explain panni thOlai ) Gopi holding his collar and Ganesh escaping
saying that he is not Ganesh - Ganesh is very disturbed and goes to accent akka -
(Neram nalla ille, Roja kku neram nalla ille - Roja sOgama sings) broaches the subject
of going back to Ameerica and accent akka vetoes any such notion in heavily accented
Tamizh. Wants to know the exact reason but Ganesh is not forth coming - says that
he does not belong here and can not always sit idle while accent akka is busy playing
cupid / marriage broker etc., etc., Accent akka is unrelenting and of course decides to
take up the matter in her own hands ( Oru serial kku Oru Omni, kashtam da sammy)

Accent akka calls arumai thangachi and imparts the info " Ganesh feels bad about
sitting idle...some business...your hubby...help" Anu agrees to help and RR lands on
cue - Roja kku ketta neram, has to listen to accent akka all over again - same request
and RR promises to help. KOnjam discussion between Anu and RR and finally Anu
says " unga project le yethavathu Onnai athaan thalai le kattunga " (yeah sure,
how about Project Pallu??)

Now it ifs Gopi's turn to recall the G 2 meeting. He does not even care for the coffee
offered by his wife with lots of love. Karthik comes , mother and daughter extend a
warm welcome to mappillai , Karthik praises his would be FIL - all fall in deaf ears.
Finally Gopi says that he needs to punish Ganesh and prove (to who ever cares
to know ) his innocence. Seeks Karthik's help - "help me to find that car - silver
color, God's Gift sticker.." Karthik says that it is a difficult task but will surely try
and get the culprit. Gopi is happy...

Sorry for the delay - the update will be up before tomorrow afternoon - have a punjabi kannaalam to attend - Oi balle balle...

Episode - 166 (half keNaru atleast aaNdavaa, pls) Tuesday 14th December 2010

Prem and Shreenath come to Shreenath's house where Shreenithi is sitting and reading. Prem asks her how come she is not asleep yet? Shreenithi wants to know how their business is progressing, Prem praises Shreenithi to be very lucky. Shreenath asks Shreenithi to get them some coffee, after she leaves for the kitchen, Shreenath goes in to get some file from his room. There is a call on Shreenithi's handphone from Karthik. Prem peeps to have a look at the caller's name. The time shown is 8.40pm (8.30kku thoongapOiduvaangaLaa??) he picks the call after checking that no one is around. Tells Karthik that Shreenithi is making coffee for him (sick fellow) and advices Karthik to forget her, get married to the girl of his mother's choice. Palli passes that way and Karthik shouts dei over the phone. Prem disconnects the call. Palli all inquisitve wants to know with whom he is talking. And if Shreenithi cut the line when she heard her voice. Prem replaces the phone seeing Shreenithi coming with coffee. Asks Shreenithi to call Karthik immediately, because he called her and wanted to talk to her urgently. Stupid Shreenithi makes the call from there itself, and Prem gives that sick look. Palli picks up the call , Shreenithi shocked hearing Palli...and shouts at Shreenithi calling her a kEduketta jenmam (Palli - you are worse than that KKJ, this lady is just too much!!) Prem is happy guessing with Shreenithi's expression. Palli disconnects the phone after warning Shreenithi of dire consequences. Prem as usual plays all goody goody to Shreenithi. (aaNdavaa - 5 minutesla you tortured me so much...😭😭)

Vignesh's mama hurrying everyone for girl seeing. Says punctuality is of utmost importance. The marriage broker (AAR??) hasnt arrived yet. The father (sorry forgot his name) supports saying maybe traffic jam or is held up..mama is not satisfied with such replies... Asks Vignesh to call the broker... mama talks to the broker who would meet them at RM's house.

Gopi on the road (aamaam episode 1 lEndhu avaru angathaanE) sees MK repairing some car. The owner of the car is very happy with MK's work and although MK refuses to charge him pays and leaves. Gopi enquires if MK charged the customer a heavy sum, for he looks to be a big-wig. MK gives him gyaan on PR and marketing. Gopi tells MK to find Ganesh and take revenge on him, like a son would. MK promises to hand and leg buy (kaiyya kaala vaangardhu) , takes leave because he has to attend a customer. (most likely Ganesh or RR!!) After MK leaves, Gopi's inner voice says - MK should beat up Ganesh and both of them must go abacus counting - one stone two mangoes !!

RM asks Vasanthi if everything is ready... Adhi has gone out on business...mama's punctuality is remembered. Broker comes - says the groom's party would arrive soon. And the jingbang arrives. After the welcoming, Vignesh's mother says everything is her brother... RM tells Vasanthi to bring Surudhi... Shruthi is getting ready asks for 5 minutes, Vasanthi says all ok, mama would leave if she takes her time... Vasanthi serves coffee... all are happy.. Mama says he doesnt beat around the bush - asks Shruthi if she likes Vignesh, she nods, he asks her to tell it out loud, she accepts and the same is repeated by Vignesh. Parents are happy.. Vignesh's parents want the engagement to be held on Friday. RM gleefully accepts. Mama stops him and tells him to consult with the others in the house first (adhu avaru sarithrathuleye kedayaadhu) because there are instances of engagements getting called off in the last minute. RM and co are a little SBT, but RM promises that this wouldnt be called off.
