Update for Friday, July 16, 2010:

APRR's office (and I thought he owned a factory, but there is nobody here) - Gopi walks in, then walks into RR's cabin, and then asks May I come in? ULLe vandhaachu, idhukku appuram enna kELvi? He talks about RR getting his periya veedu and chinna veedu in the same veedu, RR is confused, Gopi comes to know that RR has still not told A and P about the other's existence. He is happy that he can continue to blackmail RR, who as usual forks out some money, and blabbers about how he must go home immediately to find out what happened. (Does RR always carry huge amounts of cash on him?)

Shree's house - Nivedha comes and asks her about her aaLu - Shree corrects her and tells her it is her Anne, Nivedha asks how? and Shree explains that her friend's lover will have to be her annan (if only Nivedha knew that Karthi is really her brother!). Shree's mother comes in, polambufying about how Shree is still not married, Nive tells her that soon Shree will have good news for her. Adhi comes in, looking for Shreenath who has gone out, Shree's mom goes to make coffee for them, Nived and Adhi drool over each other and their mutual tastes in music. Adhi offers to take Nive to his house to show her his PBS collections, and they leave.

Adhi and Nive steal glances at each other when the other person is not looking, Adhi plays some song on the radio, then suddenly the car stalls. Adhi gets out to look under the hood, Nive makes jokes about the car being some old piece of junk, they are standing there in the middle of the road, laughing at each other's (worthless) jokes, and some guy comes there from the opposite side and stops, looking at them. These two lovebirds are busy joking with each other and do not notice him. This guy takes out his phone, and calls - who else? Santhosh - the man who has no job other than to prowl around his house and check on his sister. Friend updates him on Nive's standing and talking with Adhi, Santhosh promises to come there immediately - after all, what other job does he have>?.

RR comes home, gate is wide open, front door is wide open, Anu is sitting on the sofa and posing like Rodin's Thinker, totally oblivious of the fact that someone has walked in through the door, is sitting on the chair next to her (indha ratekku veettile koLLai adichaa kooda theriyaadhu!). RR calls her and she is surprised (and so am I, at her utter lack of common sense in these days and times). She says that her friend Pallavi had come, and "avaL sonnadhu nambavum mudiyallai, nambaameyum irukka mudiyallai" (Appidi enna thaan sollitaa?) She explains about Karthi's social service and his thinking about others and their welfare (idhu thaan namba mudiyaadha vishayamaa?) She tells RR that they came to ask about the plot in Mogappayir and how they want it for their orphanage (empty plot le eppadi orphanage nadatha mudiyum? Adhile buildings vendaamaa? Enakku puriyalaippa!) RR says that it cannot be given to them because it is in his mother's name (didn't the guy say it is in Anu's name? Idhu enna pudhu kadhai? AdhukuLLe script writerkku marandhu pOchaa?) and she will not agree to this. Anu says she has already given her word, Pallavi is her good friend (you have met her briefly, twice, and she is already your good friend? Lady, you don't know anything about her!) Anu says she will take the responsibility of convincing Athai and she wants RR to agree to this. RR is wondering how to get out of this.

20th JULY 2010 - EPISODE - 62

Anu talking to her MIL asking for permission. Paatti asks her to do as per her wish.. both decide to give the land. Anu takes leave, paatti walks her to the gate, gets back to the sofa and is in deep thoughts. Sundaram comes in and finds paatti lost in thoughts. Looking at the bag of fruits, probes on the visitor. Paatti proudly talks about Anu's visit and the reason behind it. Curses Pallavi - Sundaram supports Pallavi, says both Anu & Pallavi's guNams are alike. Paatti gets annoyed and asks, kattikittavaLum, ottikittavaLum unakku oNNaa? Sundaram at loss of words..

Santhosh with that loosu maama.. LM is shocked that Nivedha is such... Santosh asks maama to put a fullstop to this problem. Both idiots decide to break Adhi's hands and legs... arrange two goondaas to do it.. give them the address, tells they will get the payment after doing the job. On the way back one of the goonda asks why the other refused money.. he says they are talking about our Adhi.. loosu pasanga, (ayyavungaLa... appattamaana uNmai) vaa pOi Adhi kitta sollalaam...

Nadu theru with VJ- 1 (vazhisal jOdi 1) Karthik & Shree in conference. Karthik enquires about the boss... Someone from behind a car watches these two and snatches Shree's chain and runs. Karthik chases him, on the way the thief knocks paatti down. Karthik and Shree help paatti , drop paatti home in an auto..Paatti invites them in... Paatti asks about the chain and feels bad that 5 sovereign chain was gone because of her.. Paatti tells them they are poruthamaana jOdi.. Shree tells they are yet to be married. The VJ - 1 take leave. Karthik asks Shree how come 5 sovereign chain with her, to which she says it is her friend's.. she will manage.. and packs him off.

Anu gets a call from her saks Pallavi.. Asks about the land for orphanage. Anu says anytime the documents can be signed. Suddenly Pallavi's tone becomes rude and says that she cannot come to Anu's place to sign the documents. Anu is shocked at the tone of voice.. Pallavi says that Anu should come to her place, that she was just making fun... Anu accepts to visit Pallavi, Pallavi lays a condition that she should come with her hubby. Anu bumps onto APRR and conveys the message from Pallavi - first he replies that his mother will not accept, Anu tells of her success - inturn APRR barks at her saying he doesnt have time and leaves. Freeze on a disappointed Anu...

Thursday...Here I come, adichu pudichukittu....thundu podu-ing for Thursday... 🤢

Aadhi's House- Aadhi's father whacks him and interrogates him on whom he loves. Aadhi insists he is innocent, and his father spills the beans on someone (Kamesh and Santhosh) who have sent rowdies to beat him up. Aadhi insists he doesnt know the 2 buffoons Kamesh and Santhosh. His father says there is some villangam somewhere if he doesnt love anyone. Aadhi says he remembers there is a guy who keeps calling him and threatens to beat him if he hangs around with his sister...but he tells his father he doesnt love anyone for sure. His father then asks him who is Nivedha and if aadhi loves her (of course he denies). His father suggests the 2 buffoons could be Nivedha's brother and uncle who may think Aadhi loves Nivedha, hence are after him. Aadhi thinks it could be possible, and his father says he will deal with them.

Prem's father is sitting in the hall...wonders why nowadays police are getting better at catching thieves and he complains to his wife about that. An adiyaaL appears and tells him the stolen jewellery collection has reduced nowadays because people are more careful...he is obviously a snatch thief, and he bargains with Prem's dad for a bulk price of 50k rupees for all the jewellery. His wife is unhappy with the whole proceeding, knowing the husband is doing wholesale business with stolen goods. She cautions him to stop this kula thozhil, saying it is disgraceful and he will earn the saabam of the people who lose their jewels to these thieves.

Shree's house- Shree's father suggests getting shreenath married, and he has found an alliance. His wife suggests looking for Shree as well, and he has a suggested groom for Shree. The groom and bride prospects are brother/sister, so the parents feel it could work out well. They call Shreenath and Shree and ask them to view the photos. Shree isnt interested and claims she doesnt want to get married. She wants to be free for a while longer, she claims. Shreenath also doesnt want to get married for now. Of course, the villain Prem enters, and the parents explain the predicament to Prem. He tries to convince Sreenath to get married, only to realise the alliances are for both brother and sister. He tries to "rescue" Shreenidhi by saying it is not a good idea to marry a brother and sister- he claims it will be a complicated relationship if there is a problem in one household.
The parents are convinced, and they agree with Prem. Shree is grateful to Prem for saving her from the marriage...of course Prem is imagining his life with Shree...thodarum

Amma cool, poyum poyum indha serialkka adichu pudichu varae? Ennai madhiri adi asaindhu medhuva vaa, idhu engeyum pogadhu, namba kazhuthai aruthu vittu thaan pogum - on Friday!

Friends, I am keeping this brief - for one thing, nothing much has happened here, for another, I am not doing well today.

Update for Friday, July 23, 2010:

Adhi's father, Jaimohan (?), lands up at Anu's house and tells Anu about her wonderful son and her wonderful brother hiring goondas to beat up his son. Anu is in shock and denial as usual, saying that these two are thangamaanavanga, but he tells her he got the info from the horse's mouth, also he can see that this is a family that believes in needhi, nyayam (all except the truth!), so he wants to talk to the two himself and warn them. They have gone out (ooru suttha, vera enna!) but RR walks in, and Anu tells him about it. He is furious, tells JM that he will make them fall at his son's feet and ask for mannippu. JM leaves. The two darlings saunter in, and RR gives them a piece of his mind (adhukku badhilaa indha rendu oorsutthigaLukkum edhavadhu velai kudutthal better!) Anu tells them to get out of the house, but RR takes them with him to Adhi;'s house.

Gopi comes with his wifey and daughter to Pallavi's house, shows them the house where his daughter is going to be the queen, and SR starts her daydreaming about how she will deck up and sit on the swing, sipping coffee and giving instructions to the maid. He assures her that she will surely become the queen here and they all return in the auto, so that he can explain his plan to them at home.

Karthi is going somewhere, sees Paati's house, decides to call on her. She is thrilled that he took the trouble to look her up, welcomes him, and offers him coffee. He looks around, asks if she lives alone and does she not have any children to take care of her. She is overcome with sorrow and sobs that she has everyone but has chosen to live away from them. He leaves after that and Paati is thinking.

Tuesday Update 27th July 2010 EPISODE 67

me Thursday... (no adichu pudichu-ing this time) 🥱

RR home- Manju and Anu chatting with daddy RR. Kamesh enters, looks disturbed. RR thinks deeply, feels maybe Kamesh saw him with Pallavi at the shopping mall. He tries to pottu vangu the facts from kamesh by telling him that one of his friends saw Kamesh at a shopping center. kamesh looks innocent as he didnt realise RR's friend saw him. Then he states he misplaced 500 Rp and hence was disturbed. APRR is relieved and volunteers to even replace the money.

Enter- Aadhi's father...he is keen on fixing an alliance for Aadhi and Nivedha. RR, Anu both are happy, except Kamesh who is shocked and unhappy. After a pause, RR expresses his consent, to Kamesh's shock. He stated he likes Aadhi, but claims he needs his mother's consent. Aadhi's father asks to see her, but RR agrees to the claim that she lives alone because she doesnt like to live in the city (!!). (Cool- wonders why they are so desperate to find an alliance, they will agree to anyone who wants to marry Nivedha).


Kamesh and friend at the garden- Kamesh is upset. He spills the beans on all his evil plans in the past to stop all marriage plans for Nivedha including spoiling the previous alliances and beating up of Aadhi and the current thought of getting Nivedha married to Aadhi. Kamesh vows not to let anyone in the world except him to marry Nivedha.

Pallavi's house- P expresses to her father Anu's puraaNam, how lovely she is, her virtue etc. Enter APRR. P again starts on how wonderful A is. Claims that Anu is one in a million woman who is willing to vittu kodithu-fy anything for anyone for their happiness- RR and P's parents are shocked.
She wants to invite A and her husband (RR) for their wedding anniversary celebration the next week. She wants to spend time together as 2 couples. Now Karthik enters, makes some small talk on someone at the orphanage. He describes what happened to an old lady (APRR's mother) who was knocked over by a thief and how he helped the lady get home. APRR realises it was his mother whom Karthik was referring to. He also expresses the old lady's issue of living alone despite having children. Karthik is upset with the children (APRR) for not taking care of her, and feels that sort of people should be dealt with severely for neglecting their parents at their old age. (Yaaranum RR-ai deal paNNunga please)
