Vinod is attending to Andal's wound. He asks her about Azhagar's behavior and that he will stop the wedding if Andal wants to marry Azhagar. Andal replies there is nothing between them now and that Azhagar assumes Vinod to be a bad person. Vinod asks her if Andal believes Azhagar and she says no, she knows he is a good person. Vinod is happy and Subathira comes in with the nurse to give some medicines to do the dressing.

Andal comes out to see Thenu and Kaththi waiting for her. Andal tells Thenu that she wants to meet Azhagar. Kaththi tries to support Azhagar but Andal is adamant to put an end to it that day itself.

Andal asks Vinod to not reveal anything about the kovil incident to anyone at home. He agrees but tells her to warn Subha first. Subha says she won't say anything but ends up ularufying bits in front of Collector. Collector asks Vinod about it and he comes up with an excuse of how Andal cut herself with a knife. Subha tells him how Vinod took care of Andal's wound and Collector makes a comment about "Kai kattu before kaal kattu". Subha laughs a lot and gets scolded by Collector, who calls her "71/2 sani"😆. They all go into the house.

Andal and Thenu comes to see Azhagar, who apologizes to Andal and says he didn't mean to hurt her. Andal questions him as to why he took such drastic measures, even if Vinod was a bad person? Azhagar admits that he didn't have any other way to save her from Vinod. Andal says that if he had killed Vinod, she would've been the reason behind Azhagar becoming a murderer. Azhagar starts crying and Andal tells him to not interfere in her life if he truly loved and cared for her. She tells him not to do anything for her and that she would deal with Vinod and his bad habits on her own. She says how her brother and father have already taken over parts of her life and to let her live at least this part by herself. She pleads him to leave her and not interfere in her life. He leaves silently while Andal stands there crying.

Azhagar is at home, remembering his conversation with Andal when his father and brother come home. Aarusaamy asks him why he is upset and his father replies that it's because of love failure. They tell him that if he wants to marry Andal, they would kidnap her and get them married. Azhagar says there is no need for it. Aarusaamy says if you decided you don't want her, then don't worry about it after but he has a feeling that Andal will become the daughter-in-law of their house. Aarusaamy asks him to let him know if Azhagar changes his decision regarding Andal. Azhagar is in thoughts.

Precap: Andal sees Vinod with the other woman and is shocked.
