Anandam Updates August 05

What I saw was that the younger daughter who is pregnant (I think her name is swati) gives birth to a baby.

The other sister's husband(who was initially supposed to marry this daughter) gets the info and informs teh sister. He then calls up Sukanya and informs her. She also promises to go visit.

All of them go to visit the baby. The elder brother-in-law doesn't like the fact that Abhirami and Karthik have come together.

and the latest from last nights show...

madan and shanti are aware that raji (the mother) is under the influence of Abhirami.. they are not sure why.. but they know something is up.

Swati comes home from the hospital and the mother asks Abhirami to do the arti. Swati says no, amma should do but was stunned when raji says abhirami has done so much for the family and that she was the right person to do the arti

Swati and her sister, Anita do not buy this one bit. the next oppurtunity they get, they corner the mother and ask her whats wrong. Raji only says that they would go off to their husbands house, but she has to stay here with her husband and if she upset Abhirami in anyway, Abhirami would tattle to RK and that RK would be mad at Raji.

Swati and Anita dont believe this, and Anita promises Swati that they have to get into the bottom of this issue and find out.

The prisoner Pichandi wants to confess to the inspector, but ends up dead (perhaps this collaborator - ganeshan killed him) .. so there is another dead end here.

Wonder which angle they will pursue now - the diary is still there with the homeless chappie, the photos are there with the lawyer..

and the 'time bomb' that abhirami has - i really think that Raji, Balaji and Arjun are giving it too much important. I feel that Shanti has been shown to be a girl of integrity, commonsense and responsiblity. She would not take the incident at the army to mean that Karthik was DIRECTLY repsonsible for her husbands death, would she??

2 Aug 2005 episode summary

Abhirami goes over to meet kandavettikaran. He demands 10 lakhs saying he arranged for pichandi to be killed as he wanted to protect abhirami from potential leak of info to police. Abhirami is very upset and says that she never ordered anyone to be killed. But she pays up.

Karthik discovers 10lakh cash withdrawn in the expense account is demands a reply from Shyam. Abhirami rushes in to protect Shyam and says she paid the 10 lakh to the construction people.

Abhirami's sister, Ramya is distraught as her husband hasn't returned and it was past midnight. Just then she hears a knock and when she opens the door, she finds her dear husband in a very drunk state. End of episode.

Karthik tells abhirami that it is not fair on her part having taken the kid for whole day without anyone's knowledge. He then, takes the kid to Shanti's house, everyone there scolds Abhirami and Karthik. But Karthik defends his Anni (Abhirami) to them and returns back. As usual, Abhirami is set into discussion with her sambanthi (Ramya's FIL). He asks her why she needs to do all this with the kid. Abhirami responds with mystic words as ever..and the episode ends there. Today (15th Aug) is a holiday, so we have all independence day programmes, so no Anandam today. We will see tomorrow. 😊

16th aug 2005
Abirami is set into a new trick today. She tells her FIL that she has found a land rich in granite and plans to start a granite business on Karthik's name. She puts forth sugar coated words like she has nothing for herself, Ramya is married to a good family and Shyam is in a good job. Karthik is like her son and all. In office, she speaks the same trend to Karthik, and he feels flattered, signs on the documents. The deal is something like Karthik puts 1/3 rd of share and she puts the rest and that is a huge investment.

Arjun is set to meet Karthik and speak to him about Abhirami, despite Shanthi's denial for the same.

17 Aug 2005 episode

So Arjun accosts Karthik and reminds Karthik about the 'kidnapping' of Shanti's child and how 'kidnapping' for whatever reasons is a heinous crime.
Karthik is also informed for the first time, the circumstances leading to his divorce. When Arjun tells karthik that Abhirami had threatened to send madan to jail for bigamy if Shanti didnt' agree for divorce and how Abhirami faked injury and did not divorce madan - karthik is confused. Arjun is thrilled that Karthik did not jump to Abhirami's defence and that this chat planted seeds of disquiet in karthik. Shanti is also very comforted by Arjun's news that Karthik is not a blind follower of anni anymore.

Abhirami meets kandavettikaran (who is implicated in the divya murder case ) and asks him for 10 lakhs as she needs the money to pacify Karthik who is looking into the accoutns.

Karthik comes to the same place and sees them in conversation and is really taken aback. He confronts Abhirami and she is totally disconcerted - loses her cool and nerve leaving Karthik more confused than ever.

The beggar who claims he is not psycho comes to beg for food at arjun's place and leaves his diary. Andal amma picks it up and goes into the house.

end of epidsode :-) Looking forward to Karthik getting 'realisation' - perhaps he will lose his inheritance to Abhirami in the granite deal before he realises her innate evil streak

oh.. sorry.. addition to yesterdays episode - 17 Aug

The corrupt inspector comes to see Srini at his house and informs Srini that he saw Abhirami meeting kandavettikaran (abhirami shoudl have had the good sense to m eet this kanda guy in a non descript place rather than in the open in a restaurnat.. is crazy. as she is spotted by all and sundry)

And srini says he is very surprised why abhirami hasnt' confided in him about her interactions with kanda guy as she usually tells him everything. he says he has to investigate further and ... Ramya standing by the window happens to hear this!!

18 August
Ramya goes to Abhirami's office desk to inform her that Police guy and Srinivasan (her FIL) were discussing something and warned abhirami to be careful. But she gets tensed at her, and shouts to her that she knows what she is saying. Shyam and Ramya consoles each other for their sister's behavior.
Abhirami and Srinivas meet in Srinivasan's house. Srinivasan says that he is supposed to for a 2 week official tour to US. Abhirami suggests that if RK goes instead of him, it would be easier for them also to drive Karthik and his mother off, and get hold of all their wealth. Srinivasan plans for that.
In the club, Srinivasan tells RK that he is the right person to go US..bla bla, and he accepts for the offer. At home, Raji says that the day he starts to US happens to be their marriage day and tells him to be at home that day. RK says, they will celebrate in the morning, and he will start in the night. Episode ends there.

All signs looks like RK and Karthik will soon come to street. I feel they deserve it having neglecting everyone else's voices and just blindly believing Abhirami. Anyway, let us wait and see. 😊

19th august 2005
RK has left to US. Srinivasan meets the Kanduvattikaran in a restaurant, having a general discussion but actually trying to find out his relation with Abhirami. He directly asks him if he has given money to Abhirami as he wants to know being her Sambandhi. He replies saying that there is nothing like that, Abhirami is DIL of RK, why would she need money from someone else..and leaves that place.
Now, something seems to converge in the last part, Murthy is hospitalised and counting his last minutes.He wants to meet Arjun, and the doctor sends a word to Arjun.Arjun rushes to hospital, also sends Balaji to pick up Karthik also to Hospital somehow. In hospital, Murthy starts to speak to Karthik and the episode ends there.

The much awaited event has finally happened!!!! Murthy gives dying declaration to Karthik, saying his parents and Shanti are very good, Abhirami is a poisonous stuff having come to that family to spoil their wealth and fame etc etc.

Karthik imagines that he is beating Abhirami,,,, Wish that were true!!! But just a dream/imagination of Karthik.

Arjun, Anitha and Arjun's parents convinces Karthik saying that any decision has to be taken only after RK is back home. Also, Karthik has to first find out what all things Abhirami has done at home and office to get evidence against her to show RK. Above all, Karthik needs to act as if he is still loyal and submissive to Abhirami. Episode ends with the confused and shocked close up face of Karthik. 😊
