Shaan quits!

Shaan will not continue as the host of Star Voice Of India. Producer of the show Gajendra Singh says that he wants to focus on films now

Shaan who has been the face of Star Voice of India, will not host the upcoming series beginning November 30. The show called Star Voice Of India - Chhotey Ustad will have 12 kids and will be judged by Shreya Ghosal, Pritam and Kunal Ganjawala.

Shaan secretly threw a farewell party after the final episode of the show on November 24 at his residence.

The Star Plus bosses and Gajendra Singh (producer) are keeping their lips sealed about who will take Shaan's place. An insider reveals, "Gajendra is juggling with the idea of asking one of the contestants from the recently concluded series to act as the host.

He is thinking of signing on either Aabhas Joshi or Priyani Vani. Else, he might opt for a TV actress."

Speculations are rife as to why Shaan left the show all of a sudden. Our source says, "Shaan told Gajendra that he needs a break. He has been associated with Gajendra from the days of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa on Zee."

When contacted, Gajendra confirmed that Shaan will not be a part of the Chottey Ustad series. He says, "Shaan had informed me of his decision a long time back. He wants to focus on films."

Gajendra also admitted that he has auditioned Aabhas, Priyani and few TV actresses as a possible replacement. He adds, "We have some names on board. I am open to suggestions."

"Shaan will return for the next series of Star Voice Of India. However, it is not easy to find a replacement for Shaan. I feel that I have lost my right arm," says Gajendra.

Shaan remained unavailable for comment.

Maybe,Shaan was not happy with the dramatics provided by the judges as well as the inconsistent format.Being so humble he wont indulge in arguments and backbiting.

I DON'T want Abhaas to host it. His singing and his schooling will suffer and right now that needs to be a priority.

Priyani however would be a good choice. It would be a great break for her, give her a way to be in Bombay, and she has stage presence and a comfort level with performance. She could also pursue her musical education in Bombay.

Good for 'Shaan - the singer'... We need more 'Jab se tere naina's from him....

Will miss 'Shaan - the host' though!

I sincerely hope that the next host is not Abhaas... He needs to focus on his music and studies now...

Good for Shaan.. He deserves a break 😛 ~

As for the hosts, I dont want any SVOI contestant to host. I wish Shreya was not judging and instead, could have been the host for the show as she's very humble and a down to earth person and has a good stage presence as well. But anybody would do except for Abhaas and Priyani...

Its good. He can atleast concentrate on his singing as he has already spoiled his imgae in VOI.

will miss him but it will be good for him to concentrate on his playback singing.......hope after this series he'll be back again 😊 ............i love his lively attitude n the way he inspires the contestants 😛
