I have at most respect for Lata ji but I just feel annoyed when she is called "saakshaat Saraswathi ma". She is one of the greatest singers of our times and has done great service to music but it is not right calling her a Goddess.

How would it sound to compare Md. Rafi to Allah or Kishore Kumar to Lord Krishna?

I would really want Star/GS/VOI to stop doing this.

Definitely, That is absolutely wrong. She is not God. She is a Living Legend but not God.

Saraswati Ma is Goddess of Knowledge,Music,Art (of all kind) and obviously Lata Mangeshkar is incredible at Music but not anything else.

Hence please stop calling her Saraswati Maa.

I think you people might have got the meaning wrong. It is a standard practice to refer super-perfect voices as "goddess saraswathi living in the vocal chord of this singer" or "like goddess saraswathi singing herself" whether male singer or female singer.

Even if the Vocal Cords are occupied by the Godess Saraswati, I think it is not proper to give her the title of Saakshat Saraswati.

Lata Mangeshkarji is worth any tribute given but naming her as Saraswati Ma is absolutely unjust.

Let Gods and Godesses be what they are and let Human beings considered Human Beings.

No Offence to anyone.................It will be honour to see Lata Mangeshkar on the show. Bur she is a Human Being.

All singers who sing shd also be classified as godess Saraswathi and I guess to top the list shd be MS Subbhalakshmi as she sang more bhakthi geets than anyone.it is getting so repititive and annoying.
