I believe that fate always has something good waiting for people with genuine talent. It is only a matter of waiting in the wings for a while.
Gratified to know that Ashrpreet is slowly climbing the ladder. Great going girl! Her voice is so soothing yet so different and so pleasant that there is nothing that can stop her. 👏 👏 👏

Ludhiana, November 4 As the reality music show Star Voice of India heads towards its grand finale, Arshpreet, one of the top 12 contestants, roots for her city mate Ishmeet. "He is from the city and I want him to win," says this petite dark beauty whose singing helped her make her way into hearts of well known film director Sanjay Leela Bhansali and music director Pritam. Yet her personal choice for the winner is Harshit. "If we go by the voting then Ishmeet can win, for he is receiving many votes. But if we take into account the singing part, then Harshit should be the winner. Harshit can sing all kinds of songs, and his voice is also very fresh."

On having lost out at the top six level, Arshpreet says, "I felt bad at that time, especially when the judges had so many good things to say about me. But all that happens is for good."

Arshpreet has already been signed by music director Pritam, while her talks with Bhansali are on too, for a film. "I want to make a career in play back singing and I am sure my talent and handwork will take me through."

Did her makeover and a haircut do the damage for her? Arshpreet's honest, straightforward nature comes across in her reply. "Yes, I am told that a certain section of people stopped voting for me because I cut my hair. I home too, I faced opposition to my decision. But for me, religion is very personal. I am devout Sikh and religion is very important for me. But at the kind of place I was in and the competition, my competitors demanded that I too live up to the standards that had been set. After all, these reality shows are not looking for singers alone; they want performers. Even Ishmeet has gone in for many changes. But I have no regrets for having been dropped out from the contest . It is all part of the game. Music is very important for me, and my talent will see me through one day."
