why is everyone after gajendra?
because he has gone too far and blown his credibility and that of the show. the burning of all the effigies etc and the "bring back Toshi" was the last straw on the camel's back. Janta does not take kindly to the assault of its delicate sense and sensibilites.

The VOI effigy burning was too much!!

what i dont understand is why he is singled out every time..there must be some reason for people to believe that all other producers are beyond reproach.

coming to the show
there is no star power on this show(all the people are almost has beens)
the show started late and goes head on with a show which is HIS own creation and brainchild(the irony!!)

he doesnt have the money power of a TV channel producing the show,or the biggest producer in the world,Freemantle giving them brand and dollar power..

still the show is doing pretty well.I think it is a proud achievement..

Yes, Fremantle and an international format is certainly what he doesn't have.
I'm not sure if Star Plus is still the number one channel. 😕 Isn't it Zee now ? Even their serials are doing well.

@ sonyaee: Star Plus is still the #1 channel as most of its shows occupy the top positions in TRPs during weekdays.. Zee's good but u will find only 3 of its shows in the bottom 5 out of the top 10 positions.. Sometimes, u may see one reaching as far as top 2 or so but that's about it.. This is what I have observed from TRP recently ~

The whole tragedy with reality shows these days is that all that matters to the show houses is the TRP.... They can go to any any extent to get that...

Yes, it has not been fair on Gajji's part to do this.. (the entire drama abt Toshi certainly looks staged and is condemnable)... but the same thing is happening all across in all the channels.....

I think - its more of us to blame that the show houses for the same... here in this very forum, we write off shows just on the basis of TRPs... we judge the quality of the show based on TRPs.. How can popularity be a measure of quality? Didnt we have enough deliberations on the same when we discuss the super success of HR and his quality? Are we saying 2 different things with 2 different cases...

I think - this whole TRP gimmick has to go off before anything else.. Otherwise the audience will keep on getting fooled all around the place, in all channels!!

Is that really true?? Look at all the shows ruling the TRP charts today including all the K-series serials and you will understand that TRP has nothing to do with content!! Hollow stuff actually usually gets a higher TRP... Get the data for last 1 year and you will get a clear picture!

Gajendra just need to change the timing of the show and all would fall into place.Now that one of the show is ending he can go for 9-10pm timing for the same days. Rest all that he is trying to do desperately to raise TRP would not be needed then.

His basic fault was to start the show without any proper planning.Till now i doubt if the prize for the winner hav also been decided or not.

Yes offcourse, otherwise ASVOI should be leading the TRP chart, who can create better drama than Gajender... As far as K-series are concern, that is different story, there is demographic differences between K-series and these shows. This forum is the best place to judge what age group or gender watch those K-series, I really dont think that is wrong as far as people are enjoying but for these show viewers are of different demographic group... You can compare these 2 types of show...

Yes demographic differences do exist.. and let me tell you, they just do not exist between a daily soap and a musical show.. they also exists between musical shows.. people look for different things even within a musical show and hence choose that and settle in.. But in that case, we still use the same yard-stick called TRP to compare them.. which in itself is a stupid concept of comparison...

Thats what I have been saying... throw out the stuoid concept of TRP out of the door for all shows, and we will see a drastic improvement everywhere.. Unfortunately, that is not going to happen.. or rather, we are not going to make it happen!!
