Alka Yagnik is performing in North America, which has been planned months in advance. There was no way, Alka could have been in the show in India and then peformed here. So instead of gracefully saying Goodbye, the Channel and Production team decided to add Masala to her exit which was pre planned.

This is ok as long as it improves the TRP rating of the show. However when the show starts playing with the emotions of the budding singers, it is unethical.

Omg!! I dunt belive dis.. Even in reality shows dey want masala just for trps.. Its like they are playing wid the audience..

Actually I don't think so. These episodes are recorded much earlier and she has been here for a month. So the plan might have been to cover up the concert in the mean time and she might have still made it to the Bemisaal Barah in time.
They are singers and music directors. If they were acting at least the live audience and contestants would know.
If all of them are such great actors, they needn't be here.

Rajrani, if you are correct, then it is really sad to see the professionalism and courtesy going down the drain in our top most Music stalwarts.

I would sincerely wish, that it is just a Natak and nothing more. Otherwise, when Adesh Srivastav is shrieking at the top of his Lung Power, the other judge could take the mike and break his head. There was another instance where they showed Adesh take out a gun and point at Abhijeet. 😊
