Do contestants connect with audience...

I was wondering - as much as they sing well, do the contestants connect with the audience😕 I mean - has the public seen enough of them to start idolising any of them... We have seen in the past how some contestants became a part of our lives and it almost became a personal victory/defeat for the supporters as much for them... Do these contestants bring the same again... If they bring in public voting from next rounds, will the public vote for them the same way... To me it feels as if everything has been done so hurriedly that it doesnt seem they have been able to popularise the contestants as much... Earlier they used to have AVs, off screen footage - u knew more about the contestants... Unless they connect with the public, why wud they spend to vote for them...

I don't think they have connected with the audience at all still. The main reason being we had to go through the audition rounds mainly till now. There were so many and even the good ones we heard just maybe 1-2 times.

In order to connect with the audience they will need more performances. It is then that public will start showing their likings and dislikings. And then will start the fan followings too.

But the trend of public voting now in the other shows is showing we may not see that type of following we used to see earlier. Which means maybe every episode will leave few connected to the audience and next week it may change too. Public is voting intellegently it seems.....

I agree with that 😛 Earlier we used to have some clear favorites... but now no one can be absolutely sure of the results... Coming to the auditions part, I believe it was unnecessary... They cud have sorted them out and begun the show from the Top 33 stage at most... And we cud have had more chances to hearing the contestants...Now they are playing catch up game... It seems contestants of other shows wud already be established with public as far as voting goes - and it wud be hard for these contestants to make their place... The good thing is - we wud in most probability have weightage to judges cores as well as voting...

i have seen enough performances to come to my top 4: abbhas, irfan, mirande, abhilasha ( i really liked srirams voice, i wish he hadnt messed up with sur )

yes i think we all have our favorites... but wat I meant was - are they as popular as we earlier used to see... it wud have been good if they had foucussed more on the select top notch, rather than time lost over initial auditions... anyhow, good to see we have started identifying our favorites 😊

I think the format of the show has been such that we have heard all these contestants sing only 2-3 songs till now before they move to the finals... But, my question is - what are we looking at here? The quality of the songs that they are singing? Or the number of songs that they are singing and getting more screen time? Isnt it the same old debate between quality and quantity and what sells? To me, even if I hear one song which is done very well, I can connect to that.. I dont need to listen to 10 mediocre noisy performances to do that!

Early days in the contest still - yes.. but even within this timeframe, it has offered enough quality to start connecting to!

yes we all have our favourites and we can only hope that they perform consistently well 😊

as far as connecting with the audience is concerned ... like others pointed out, its too early to tell ...
but i would like to see more episodes with just singing and no judging once the bemisaal 12 or 14 or whatever have been selected
it would better showcase the talent of the final lot and might help them connect better with the viewers

and i am not really a fan of such episodes where they show the contestants going from place to place and singing live in malls etc. it just makes no sense to me ... the singing is mediocre and there is just too much noise ...

that is wat i meant 😊 if u start voting right away, before we even get to know how good a contestant is he might already be out😛
