Amul star Voice of India is asking for our suggestions as to what should be done to get to Bemisaal Barah. I went to the official site but could see only five comments. This might be a good opportunity to let ourselves heard and show them their pros and cons. I hope since they so openly asked for feedback they might pay some attention to what public has to say.

So here's the link http://www.starvoi.com/2007/

Also we can discuss some more suggestions here in the forum. If there's is already a topic for the same then please post the link and then given the latest developments we can discuss our opinions and suggestions for the format.

I think they did a great job in keeping 5. Though I have a feeling that this was pre-planned however, the end result was great.

On the other hand it was sad to see Sreeram leave on the basis of a bad day of performanceand who is much better than Arvind. So many others like Sanchari, Aditi etc. They say they test for two days but after the first bad bad there's hardly any chance to come back.

I would definitely want to see Toshi, Harshit and Rahul in the next round, so I would be disappointed to see only one being selected.

The format should have been to select 24 and then boil down to 12, may be by using public voting as well at that point. What do you think SVOI should do now?

P.S.: If there's is a similar topic please direct me to it 😊.

Well said but I don't agree with the second part. I somehow have lost faith now in both the judges and public. So best would be I feel a combination of both. Maybe from 24 to 12 they could have come down by eliminating two.

Just now the way they have done is really sad. They deprived us from hearing to some good singers few more times. There was no need for that audition round airing actually.

I completely agree with you and thats what I meant by "using public voting as well".
And yes they would have been better off not airing the auditions. But even then taking five singers out in one go based on just one performance (though it is two, but it is actually the first one that really matters most) is still unfair.

As some people suggested having four or six and then taking two out would have better. SRGMP is doing the right thing in this context. But they have already done what they had to and now I suggest they select a few more contestants from the eliminated ones because it would be unfair to them if from one group five are selected and from others only 3 or may be 1.
Then in a semifinal round select the bemisaal barah. Indian Idol's piano round concept is very nice in terms of this.

Yes, it was hard to see talented Sanchari leave. After not getting selected in C2005, I thought she would have a good chance in ASVOI. One bad song choice (jaadu hai nasha hai) and she is out now. I think bad song selection is the reason Shreeram is out too. He was so good in the auditions and even in Friday's episode despite forgetting his lyrics.

The judges should eliminate two contestants each week, mix up the groups and hear the contestants again.

I think the episodes are already shot - atleast for the next week.. so our suggestions will not matter 😭

I know for sure that getting the singers eliminated based on one bad day is very unfortunate... Sanchari and Sayantani really deserved to be in the finals, may be Sreeram too... Aditi anyway got a lot of chances and she could not prove herself....

I think eliminating 5 singers per week is like too much, but anyways, now things have happened...

I had read earlier that the finals would be a combination of public voting and judges decision (just like Nach Baliye used to be) and I think that can be the best possible format... Looking fwd to it! 😊

Yes, i too read that and thats really nice... Nach Baliye's format was really nice😛 The public votes are combined with judges scores to get a combined ranking😊 And that gives fair results 😊
