However, in her last 2 performances with Mast and Aao Na, she has sounded shrill in the higher notes and has not met expectations for many. Moreover, she has been attempting the same genre of songs and we like to see more versatility from her. So one thing is for sure - her song selection (whoever selected it for her) has not been the best.

Do you think the same? What are some of the other songs you would like to hear from her, where you think she can flourish a lot more? Please share😊

hey jaya, i had made similar comment about not liking both her performances on the other thread....good that u too think that way...

she just couldnt carry off the song...i agree with u abt the shrill on high notes ..but also her punch on word "mast" was coming too hard....also the sensuality frill was missing in both the songs...and in "aao na gale" the masti was missing...

i would like to hear songs like--

lag ja gale, raina beeti jaaye.... kinda songs....soft melodies..

Sumitra is good but not Nihira's standard, I feel.

Agree 100 % about song selection. Waiting to hear a soft Romantic melody from her. I feel she is capable to sing those songs. I hear shehas performed with Sonu Nigam and Hariharan.
