The TRP's prove one thing for sure. It is the drama that is giving the show's the edge.

Friday everyone knew about the drama to take between Adesh and Abhijit and so the high TRP. But Saturday again it shows low TRP. Would refrain from commenting on the other show though.

To tell the truth the scene is not very encouraging. And if this is the trend then rest assured to see more such dramas in these shows.....

One more thing is tht Sa Re Ga Ma Pa has gone to Chakravyuh round whereas ASVOI is just starting. It makes a lot of difference. If both were at the same level, ASVOI wd hv been far up the ladder..

This is probably is a deserved thing for SRGMP. Yes'day was its best show till date. Quoting ID himself "Show abhi shuru hua hai" 😉

VoI show was a bit underwhelming yes'day. Im sure it'll rock when it gets to Bemisaal 12 round

Star invades Zee slot... races ahead of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, Saath Phere

wo weeks ago STAR Plus was in the news thanks to Tulsi's death and Gautami Kapoor replacing Smriti Irani. Even as Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi remains their numero uno show, the channel is now eating into Zee's time slot and inching ahead of its flagship shows. The two shows Sa Re Ga Ma Pa and Saath Phere pitted against STAR Voice Of India and Kasturi have taken a drop in the ratings in the week from June 4 -9.

Says, Prem Kamath, Head of Communications & Marketing, STAR Plus, "Voice Of India has seen a phenomenal growth of 60 per cent in the four weeks since its launch, and Kasturi which came on a slot dominated by Zee's flagship Saath Phere has overtaken the soap within seven weeks of its launch." For the week ending June 9, STAR Voice has a rating of 4.3 while Sa Re Ga Ma Pa has 4.1. Kasturi has averaged 3.8 while Saath Phere has averaged 3.6 for the week between June 4 - 9. But isn't it jumping the gun too soon? Aren't they making noise over just a week's ratings? "It's not about making a noise, but correcting the perception people of these two properties of Zee," argues Kamath, adding that it's not a flash in the pan. "It shows a trend that has been slowly gathering momentum," he avers. Zee however, has a different take on the issue. Ashish Kaul, Executive VP, Zee agrees that STAR is ahead but the difference is in "decimal points and it's only for a week. But if they are happy over a week's performance then I wish them all happiness," he quips.

However, Kamath points out that unlike Zee's Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, STAR Voice Of India started from the auditions stage. Sa Re Ga Ma Pa came on air directly with the finalists. "Despite that, our ratings are promising. Now that it has entered the studio rounds it will only get better," he explains.

shady,you were looking for me..when i posted the trps last week in srgmp forum and i didnt get a single reply..did you read😆.

that was the only thread i posted..but mind you not a single comment to date about any singer,mentor singing or any aspect of the srgmp show to date because that is me..but it is really uncalled for members to come here just to criticise..you must remember this is a new forum and has less than 10 members who post regularly and i am the most vocal😆.

any particular post in your forum you found even mildly offensive please tell me i will apologise..(i even ignore posts like 'that show stinks'..'jalan ki boo a rahi hai'..not my style).

i get mad only in posts like i hate this show..the alka yagnik thread had had enough bashing in the srgmp forum..in huge colourful font too..then some members came here and laughed among yourselves ..i think it is unfair..dont you..😕.

p.s..first article is simple

the second article states trps of 4.4 and 4.3 etci n the week ending june 9th but the trp chart has trps below 3 for both shows!!(check indiantelevision .com.)

there maybe multiple agencies or sources giving info and probably varies..(I didnt post these artcles.just quoted..)

my intension was not to mislead 😕.

I think the different agencies calculate the TRPs in a different way and hence there would be gaps between them... And that actually misleads many of us.... So, I think its best not to quote any of this and be confused...

My only question to myself and all here is - why should the TRP game be so important to me, the viewer? I understand it can have some connotations for the Production Houses for the respective shows, but to me what should matter is what I find good and enjoyable.. whether it enjoys the 1st or the 100th slot in the TRP chart, who cares? Will that change my liking or disliking for the show? As Bhaskar says that probably the drama element is what is directly proportional to the TRP, and that is getting proved time and again; are we saying that we are indirectly supporting to see more drama in the show so that the show gets higher TRP... If yes, that would be a very sad state of things!
