Dear Friends😊

Finally we are past the audition rounds of the most surila musical show on air 'Amul Star Voice of India'. This week we had the final auditions in Lucknow and the the first studio round to decide the final line-up of 33 singers...

What was it did you like in the Lucknow auditions? Did you find something not so intertesting/irritating? Did you think the right talent got a chance from Lucknow? How was the first studio round? Are you happy to get back few singers? Are you sad to lose some? Are you frustrated that some singers were not asked to go? What is your overall rating on the 33 singers who made it?

Discuss all this and more here... Let the music keep playing through our musical discussions... Afterall the show deserves it all...👏

lucknow auditions were average, but no complaints since on the whole they have selected a really good lot... the thing i am most happy about is that the auditions r finally over and we will finally get rid of the "open air" auditions and the "saat hindustanis"😆 i had been waiting for this all along... u can see the difference at once when u see the elimination episode that was done in a studio😛 the whole feel of the show changes... coming to the contestants, i have already said in another post that i feel sorry for aanchal and bhola... besides i do not agree with giving contestants another chance at the cost of the already selected contestants... that is grossly unfair... they had 36 and needed to reduce to 32, so they cud have eliminated from amongst them... but to bring in earlier rejected contestants into the race was unfair... and so i donot agree with rahul and vipul's selections who were both average or below average in their first audition... priyani was superb in the first audition but was just ok in the second one... maybe judges just wanted to correct their earlier blunder and thus took out bhola and brought her back...

anyhow, with the contestants now selected, it is a good show at hand...

First, I must acknowledge that this is by far the best musical show I have seen and HEARD. It truly has some of the most surilee voices that you may never get tired of hearing.👏

Anyway, however, coming back to the discussion of this post, I was very upset with one of the decisions the judges made. Kaushik, who sang Dil Se in the open auditions really really impressed me with his singing👏. I especially listened to his sung "dil se" over and over👏, as I loved it so much. In fact I also went back to the actual soundtrack of the movie dil se to listen to the original dil se song, but to my surprise found the originally sang number not as interesting at all. Kaushik really added a powerful touch to the song. And, I felt disheartened to see him be eliminated even after he sang so well yet again. 😭

I must say that if they really needed to eliminate someone, why Kaushik? I believe, and I am sure many will agree, that Ryan Diaz did not sing anywhere close to as well as others did. I think that the judges went very wrong in selecting him. I feel that although VOI is essentially focused on what it claims to...sur and all ("suron se koi samjhota nahin hoga")...as evident by the amazing quality of the singers chosen..the judges unfairly gave Ryan Diaz a bit of favoritism b/c he was a foreigner, and accepting him over some other great singers was , I will say, suron se ek samjhota 😔 👎🏼!

I will miss Kaushik's amazing singing voice😭...he deserved to remain in VOI....what do you think? ❓

For the first time on saturday the judges were well behaved 👏 😆

Okk now on analysis....

The Lukhnow auditions was the worst episode and saved mumbai from getting the title 😆 .... but it gave a superb voice to us in the form of oooops i forgot the name the first singer singing "Ek haseena thi"... I felt he sang it even better than Debojit.... Nothing else to discuss in Lukhnow...

In reauditions, we got some good treat of songs... however very disappointing to keep Ryan in leaving out Kaushik who was really good on that day.... 😃

His name is Harshit and he was an Antakshari contestant. Very good singer but I will reserve my comments on whether he was better than Debojit.
Lucknow auditions were average as everyone seems to agree. But I didn't agree with Kaushik's exclusion and Ryan's inclusion. Am happy that Anchal is gone and Priayani, Vipul and Rahul are back. It would been a big injustice if these voices were not brought back.

So I agree with what Gajji did on the whole and I applaud him for his brilliance.
