Week 4 (Jaipur Auditions): Ur Views - Page 2

I think almost all singers in Jaiput were pretty good. But one touched my soul more than others and that was Irfan from Hyderabad. His song on that day was was extremely melodious and very well sung. I have repeated it many times to listen to it. Even Abhilasha Venkatachalam (must be originally from Andhra, I think) sang exceedingly well. Another girl I liked was Mirande. Good crop of singers. I do have my doubts about tha Dubai guy Dias.

What did you think went well in the show?

Singing, singing and singing!

Talents like Abhilasha, Mirande, Thoshi, Sumitra, Aridam, Irfan! 👏

Abhilasha impressed me the most with her melodious rendition of tu chanda main chandni. 👏 I also downloaded the original and have been listening to it all week long. What a beautiful song. I really hope Abhilasha continues to sing like this, she could surely be the 'music find of the year'. 😊

I was expecting Thoshi to sing well, thanks to the promo (judges going crazy 😆) and from what I've heard, he will another force to reckon with in the future episodes! 😛 He should try his best to versatile like Sharib. 😊 If he is, he'll be one of the best in the show. Powerful voice, sings with great emotion and what charisma! 👏

ASVOI certainly proves that there is no dearth of musical talent! Its just the people picking the contestants who need to focus on the singing and talent. 😳

What part did you not like at all?

I did not like Abhijeet saying Thoshi sang better than the original singer (Piya re- Nusrat saab) Whats with him and the controversial comments? Also, Aadesh's stupid gun act which was so lame it was funny! 😆 Why didn't the judges comment on Shubhankar's tum jo mil gaye ho performance? 😡 It terrible, can't they give comments? 😕

Do you think all deserving contestants were selected?

Yes except for Ryan Diaz but let's give him a chance. Maybe he'll impress in the future episodes. He definitely was not one of the best though. But the song yeh pal was apt for his voice and style.

What are your comments on the judges behavior?

Better behaved this week (when compared to past weeks) except for a few cases.

Have you already started identifying your favorites from the singers chosen from Jaipur?

Yes, I want to hear more of them! I hope I'm not jumping the gun (hehe, Aadesh inspired me 😕😆) by already picking some favorites 😕 *fingers crossed*

Has Jaipur been the most powerful storehouse of talent?

Delhi, Jaipur and Indore auditions 👏👏👏

I do not think so. The talent is coming from various parts of the country to various centers. One observation. In all the auditions one section of musically talented people are either missing or being deliberately omitted. Besides Kolkata, Pune is another center where music is in the blood of the people. I am surprised to see that there no representation from there.

I agree with you NB. The locations ASVOI has picked are just location for auditions does not mean all singers came from that city only. We have seen representation from all the way from Chennai and Hyderabad. I am also surprised at no participation from PUNE which is musically oriented city.
