Sunidhi to challenge the VOI finalists?
VOI on Star Plus will have special guest stars this Saturday on their Navratri Special episode. Songstress Sunidhi Chauhan, as well as music composer Dhruv and Chhote Ustad winner Aishwarya Majumdar, will take to the stage. Both singers make their entrance by announcing that they may be competing alongside the six finalists on the show.
The contestants will perform various dhamakedaar songs of dandia on Saturday's show. Singer Sunidhi Chauhan and Dhruv were there to promote the film Drona, the soundtrack of which they have worked on. As soon as Sunidhi entered, she told a bemused audience that she may be participating in the contest to give the finalists some tough rivalry. But the contestants can breathe a sigh of relief as she was only joking. She says, "That definitely won't happen. It was just a small skit planned and I was told to be a part of it."
One of the six finalists, Ravi says, "I don't think they would put us up against a great singer like Sunidhi, but you never know. Aishwarya could be the one to enter the show though I am really not aware of what is going to happen."
Of the whole experience, Sunidhi says, "I was very honoured and touched by Ravi's sweet gestures. He gave me a teddy bear."
Sunidhi sang Whitney Houston's 'I Will Always Love You' which garnered immense applause from the audience. When asked whose performance she enjoyed the most, Sunidhi said, "All of them were equally good, but I liked Ravi's and Vipul's performances the best."
Sunidhi has sung the title song for the film Drona with Dhruv. She tells us that it is her favourite song on the soundtrack and is very dear to her. Now that it is clear that Sunidhi's voice will not be the one challenging the VOI participants, it remains to be seen who will enter the contest. The Navratri Special episode will be telecasted on Saturday at 10 pm.
