If this girl doesnt work on song selection, she will be in trouble soon, being a good singer is a diff thing, and impressing audience as a good singer (projection) diff. Delivering a comlplex composition may not attract audience, I am aure if Rashid Khan saab sang raag megh malhar half of the VOI audience will disappear. She needs to find songs which has the right blend of complexity and appeal, I hope some one conveys this message to her.

Indradhanush, that is exactly what I have been worrying over for the last few weeks. Maybe she is thinking that singing difficult but (unpopular) songs are going to get her more votes. The votes till now have been for her songs that she sang in the first rounds. I doubt she will last even a couple of weeks if she is going to keep the same trend of her song selection. Just how does one convey this to her? I will see if anything can be done.

And Jetty bhai, she sang Shubha Mudgal's "Dholna" song yesterday, but it didn't suit her voice. One could only hear the music.

Rithisha don't worry about winning. Just sing difficult and unpopular songs each time. We know you are not going to win but I personally want to hear great singing from you.
Winning or losing does not mean anything. Just take a fantastic journey. God bless you!!!
She was superb yet again !!!

hello all,
i want to tell u all something about song selection....few weeks even i had the same doubt abt rithisha song selection....i had raised this doubt in another blog when rithisha's close friend i guess answered my question.....
there is something called academy participants and non-academy participants like rithisha(even i dont know abt that)...non-academy participants cannot choose thier own songs......they have to take their favorite songs to the SVOI...they select...rithisha continuously is being rejected the song she wants to sing and she is given all these songs....that is why she is very upaset and can be made oout on her face as well...so i think there is no point blaming rithisha for the song selection....this si the information i got.....plz dont attack me for this.....hope i have answered many doubts....
thanx

Not just Rithisha.

A Ganesh Chaturti special and what did people choose to sing? Not ONE person sang the song from Viruddh that Rohit Raut sang so well in his competition? Dil Mein Baji Guitar and Aika Dajiba may have a Maharashtrian touch, but are they appropriate songs for a festival theme? Or was the theme 'generically Western Indian'?

I don't watch the show regularly (nor others for that matter) any more because it is just not that interesting and you can always watch clips online.
