Live Update: 29th August 2008

The show starts with Sukhvindar singing "Chhaiyaa chhaiyaa" All the contestants are dancing around. The set has the rail bogi similar to the one in song and guys were dancing above it. Today is sukhvinder special

Shaan enters and today is the freaky Friday. Last week the one who got lowest points were shayantani, ritisha and rohit. Today there are special guests for the promotion of movie Hijack. Shiney ahooja and the director of the movie enters the stage.

1. Voice of Delhi: Ravi Shukla

He sings "Woh Kisna hain" from movie "Kisna"

Ismail says antare me tumne bahot kamaal gaya Sukhvindar says Bahot accha gaya and tells him to sing one part again. Ismail says yeh style se mein gawa nahi paya aur yeh style se sykhi gaa nahi paye

2. Voice of karnataka: Ritisha

She sings "Chal chal mere sang sang", movie unavailable

Kunal says she was brilliant and says all the best. Sukhiji tells some place where he understood something new. Ismail makes even more comments. Friday is always to hype contestants and program it seems 😆

3. Voice of UP: Vinti Singh

She sings "Rabba rabba" from movie "Mujhe kuch kehna hain"

Sukhvinder shakes his hands instead of his legs a little 😆 She sang the song well.... must say. Sukhi tells her to sing one part and says very good excellent.

4. Voice of Chhattisgarh: Zakir Hussain

He sings "Layi vi na gayi", Movie unavailable

He said he prepared the song for theme and had no idea of the song earlier.... Sukhvinder goes on stage and sings with Zakir.

5. Voice of AP: Ryan Diaz

He sings "Oh saki saki saki" Movie unavailable

Ryan dances well. Shiney says he thought its only dance competition. Monty says this song could be sung in this style too as Ryan used falsetto on higher notes.

Vinti raises her voice against dowry on the show. She says she also wanted to use the stage for raising voice to certain issues in India today. She appealed to all girls in India to become independent and not marry guys who ask for dowry. I appeal girls to follow this but do marry good guys and dont harass them please 😉😆

6. Voice of seven sisters: Saptaparna

She sings "Main chali main chali is gali us gali", movie unavailable

Sukhvinder says do you have breathing problem. She says she has cynus. Sukhvinder gives one advice. Ismail says you could sing better.

7. Voice of Maharashtra: Rahul

He sings "Lagan lag gayi re" Movie unavailable

Sukhvinder says some personal experiences come through my voice similar has to come from you.

8. Voice of Punjab: Vipul

He sings he will sing for ishmeet from now on. He will dedicate everything to him

He sings "Mushkil something punjabi song"

Ismail stops him in between and says he loves the song and Ghar aajave does nt sound good from vipul so he takes sukhvinder to stage to sing the song. Sukhvinde sings the rest of the song. Ismail says alfaz ka meaning samazke gao.

9. Voice of seven states: Rohit Sonar

He sings "Nasha hi nasha hain"

Kunal says this was best performance of the evening for him. Sukhvinder says your control is your strength and you sang well.

10. Voice of Orissa: Shayantani

She brings samosa and tarbooj, which is sukhvinder's favourite. She asks if he can join her for song.

She sings "Bidi jalaile"

Sukhvinder joins in and tells her to sing one line he tells to stop music and directs her to sing like he is singing. Only one line and music starts again. He again gives some tips to her to sing this song.

Shayantani is in bottom four while Rohit is safe.

Ryan Diaz is the spark of the week today. Shiney and Kunal says a few things about singers. They will not stay for eliminations.

They show some staged drama on Shraddha's elimination

Rahul is eliminated today.

They show clip of Rahul's journey. Monty says 26/30 is above average then how did he go out. Shaan says there is ranking as per votes and ranking as per judges marks. Ismail starts breaking glasses with which they drink tea. He says either keep only our vote or discontinue the show. Monty says two hours is not enough. There is discussion shown with Gajji about it etc. They said we will think and decide on some changes. So it is going last year's way.
