I love the title of the show. It's so refreshing to have an interesting and symbolic title rather than just a line from a song.

I love the fact that the title makes us think:

Literally ofcourse the meaning of "Amrit Manthan" would be "churning for the amrit/elixir of life"

In terms of religious subtext, "Amrit Manthan" refers to the following story -

Metaphorically (I think) it means that the character of Amrit is undergoing agitation or a particular period in her life after which she will come out a changed person. Just like after you churn milk you get butter.
