Amita can lose weight, and automatically she looks wise she will be above Amit.😆 She is a pretty cute girl, and the scales would be tipped were she to lose weight.

weight is not a big issue but amit just wants her would be to look prettier and smart so that even amita would feel good and confident
amita is somewhat dumb and amit is quite sincere and intelligent guy but i agree he cud have said that in a polite way😳

Unfortunately, physical appearance has become the quintessential criterion for going ahead with a marriage proposal, more so in case of arranged marriages . Everyone wants to have a smart looking partner, but somehow the girls are the hardest hit of this dubious criterion.

Rightly put by Sugar_21, the parameter of physical appearance is not just limited to weight alone. Skin tone , height and every little detail goes through some very magnifying eyes. A girl is scruitinised from head to toe like a show piece .

As for Amita , she is not fat the way Amit put it. She is definitely on the healthier side, but without being oversized .

I guess, he is still under the spell of Snehal's personality . I wasn't much impressed by her though, she was only well presented unlike Amita, who is more of a simple happy go lucky soul .
Someone needs to snap him out of his la-la land, where he is the prince charming with the 'imaginary princess' Snehal. Once that's done I'm sure he will appreciate and see the beautiful person that Amita is.

To me amit doesnt see amita beyond looks, he thinks amita is a foolish girl nd shell do per his wishes, to me this thing about loseing weight should come from amita usualy when one is engage to be maaried khusi ke mare yeh sab sochti hai ke muje shadi ke din esa dikhna hai woh sab se khub surat dikhna chahti but shes in a shock and to me shes pushed in to agreeing in to this shdi and other thing is to me shes not dumb but bholi the fact is she aware that falguni ha a problem with her she obeserved that on her engagement during the photo shoot rahi bat amit ki hes book smart and a bit low on confidence i think both are lo on confidence one doent have tp be pretty to look beutiful but the way one take care of the way one looks the way one dress .arrange marriage is not like you get married right away but you get to know each other well its not like how our grand parents get married without even seing each other imagine that ,poor amita first falguni told her how to behav in high society and now amit ,compromise pe agar rishta tikta to divorce ka to sawal hi nahi hota to me marriage is about ,trust, respect ,commitment and love.marrige is life long commitment .amita has accepted amit the way he is altough hes not her ideal life parter choice she knoes her boundries S°?°o to me thatsa right move on her part she knos hes a good human being hes not a show off or anything like that but amit hasnt given her ny thoght beyond looks and thats sad .

Well as for i feel Amita is just on healthy side and not overweight or fat...She is not slim that it and yes not as sure a person as Snehal is with whom Amit was besotted and tongue-tied!!!

But he also needs to know he is just normal guy with good education/career...bas he is also not dream guy who is totally romantic or fall head over heels handsome types!!!

he is just a normal guy with above average intelligence he doesn't seem too brilliant in any case to me is so he must have managed to impress Snehal totally!!!

So he must accept that just like he is not the prince charming he cannot get a princess for himself

The whole weight issue should be ignored all together.People need to accept the fact that human beings come in all sizes..there are different kinds of body shapes with different metabolism and what not

what i don't understand in this show is how amit is being pushed into the marriage he doesn't even want and he is not even telling any body just for his ego. its unrealistic. people don't marry like this. and these decisions are never taken in haste. snehal didn't reject amit. she was already committed. that's the reason she politely refused amit's proposal and she wrongly assumed that amit may be interested in amita too. amit didn't deny her and she told her mother about amit's interest. amit should have clarified. its unrealistic. parents don't give their children choice like amit's parents did. its unrealistic. yes the way girls are treated by their suitors, from that perspective this show is totally based on reality.
