Ohh.. they share 1 liver!!!

When i first saw Amber and Dhara joint from the side it looked that it was possible 2 seperate them.

But now when i watched the second episode>>i understand that the problem is that they share one liver.

Amber has got 20% of the liver and Dhara has 80% of the liver.Now that technology can seperate conjoints it is 2 late for amber and Dhara as they are grown up!! Actually only Amber 's life is in danger not dhara's.

But, as far as i heard people can live with one liver, so if amber looses one liver she can live with another. Right????

yeah that's usually what I hear too...people can live with one liver. Some people have to get liver transplants if they really do need a second liver. Maybe they might show in the end one of the sisters sacrificing her life for the other sister OR they may show someone getting a transplant or something......I think they will have to show that in the end if someone falls in love with them. Just a guess.

hmmm....i actually read an article saying this but then when i saw the first episode i thought it was something else......but i kind of agree with ExoticDivinity well i guess we will have to wait and watch!

I too think that its possible to survive with one liver. And I also think that its possible for them to be seperated successfully. I am sure with many obstacles it can happen. Medical science has developed a lot throughout the years...so I am sure that they will seperate in the end. They'll probably have to go to a different country though...like US or something.

What do you mean "surviving with one liver"? 😕 Humans normally have one liver in the first place, not any more. I think you guys are confusing the liver with the kidneys. Humans have 2 kidneys and it is possible to survive with one kidney yes.

Amber and Dhara have only ONE liver between them. They do not have any more livers. If Amber loses the liver she will die. And the same for Dhara.

However, the liver is capable of regeneration. It can regenerate itself even if only, say 30%, is left after an operation. I do not know but perhaps it maybe possible to divide the liver between the two sisters separately. The only other option I can think of is if one them get the liver and the other receives a liver transplant from another source. 🤔

I must say AD's case is relatively simple compared to real-life conjoined twins where more than one vital organ is usually involved.

Yea, I guess you guys are confusing liver with kidney... There are two kidneys but only one liver... & the liver, if cut in half can re-grow on it's own... it's the only organ that is capable of regeneration...

AD case is complicated coz they share one liver, and Amber has only 20% of the that same liver..so if operation does take place.. Dhara will be saved for sure.. but yeah Amber..??? i dont' know.. as Mavra said medical science has developed a lot. .so maybe after some time they will get separated 😉

ppl just have one liver.. you must be talking abt kidney..

I think that they will end up being separated in the end, but it will be a long process. I guess they would have to get a liver transplant, and for that they would need a matched donor. This is very hard to find, even though you can sign up at agencies who will try to match you with a donor, it is not always sucessful. And sometimes even after the transplant goes sucessfully, your body could reject it later if not kept on the correct medicines. I wonder what they will do?
