Conjoined twins Neelu and Peelu were rechristened Sohna and Mohna on the All-India Pingalwara Charitable Society premises here today.
Physically healthy, the Siamese twins were being well looked after here. A three-member medical team was deputed to monitor their health.
Many persons who reached the society premises out of curiosity said the twins were lucky as they were being well looked after. Siamese twins born to illiterate villagers used to be sold to circus owners, local godmen, or tantriks to display them as exhibits.
The parents of the twins, Mr Surjit Kumar, working as a taxi driver, and Ms Kami Devi, had been given permission to see them occasionally. The twins, although alike in physical features and appearance, behaved differently.how rude can our society get?!?! seriously..........they're soooo un educated!đ¤˘đĄ
