At the moment ViBha are now contempt with their friendship. They feel comfortable and safe with this stalemate situation. They don't have to question themselves, what exactly they want. But what happens if situations are enforced on them, where they have to answer these uncomfortable questions?
Shobha claims, she cannot disassociate herself from Samarth as she has lived with him for a decade and he is the father of her kids. She still wears the Mangal Sutra. But what if he comes back, apologises to her for whatever happened, promises to have a new beginning? What will she do? The traditional woman in her might say, "compromise". Practical mind would suggest, he is just an opportunist who can cheat her again. Can she take a stand? Whatever stand she takes, it will not be as easy as staying single with a Mangal Sutra with the help of a friend.
What has been the reason Vikram has stayed single this long? His past love or he had not met the one who would tolerate him with his countless demands? Yesterday when Shobha's friend was throwing accusations at Vikram, Shobha felt restless and said they are not the right match. Clearly, she was not ready to listen anything against Vikram. Deep inside, Vikram knows Shobha is the one would accept him as what he is. But still he has not bothered to explore his feelings. Sarika's entry into his life again might shake his fundamental belief.
End of the day, Shobha is the one who can accept and love Vikram along with his fussiness. So with Vikram. She is one lady, for whom he can change himself. But both are not aware of it.
I feel out of the two, Vikram might come out of his denial mode first. He neither has any romantic inclination with his past relation, nor any bindings (as with Shobha). But his problem would be to convince Shobha, who still believes in the institution of marriage. For him, it would be a wait and watch game (if Samarth come back in Shobha's life. Surely, it would be painful for us to watch) till Shobha realises this herself.
Other thing I am waiting to see eagerly is, how his reaction would be when he realises his feeling. Obviously he won't be physically this comfortable with her anymore. He might withdraw himself suddenly without giving any explanation, leaving one more puzzle for Shobha to solve. This is the bit I am waiting to watch.
