Maria Dear, Your wish is my command 😊 ....here is my essay on Samay Khurana.....Hope I am able to understand the character and describe it here.... 😊


Samay Khurana, a brilliantly sketched character gifted with charismatic persona , eyes so deep and intense…...expressing every emotion 😳 , mesmerizing voice 😛 , curly locks 😉 , towering height 😊 , sexy looks 😳 , striding in velvet blazer and denims …flaunting his masculine physique 😃 , with an aura which is hard to ignore…. 👏 .

A complex personality though, we knew him as a Casanova first, using every opportunity of women drooling over him......., wanted only physical relationship with every woman who appealed him in any way… 😕 yet irresistible 😳 … Unless he met a girl, who he could not charm with his killing looks…..could not realize that he has fallen in love….. He appeared cool and calm yet furious inside, struggling with his obsession... . His eyes kept on telling the story of his lust and his wicked smile said it all……… 😉 .. A true egoistic, could not accept rejection… 😕 tried to hurt the woman under frustration in every possible way emotionally , mentally…….tried every possible way to please her, seduce her……still no success…………
While making all those efforts to get her, got even more aggravated when discarded by her family also…..finally went all the way down to get her….turned into an extremist, furious, did everything possible to ruin her & her family, turned down every human emotion for retribution…… 😕 ..Did not leave any option for her but to marry him…..But still perplexed whether it is love, abhorrence, or obsession……..

And finally could sort out for himself that he is deeply in love with this girl whom he is marrying, but I guess it was too late….He forced her to marry him, but still lost her on his wedding night………hurt in love for the first time….and that was the turning point , I guess, and we saw emergence of a new, passionate Samay with every day passing by……. 😊

He desired for her love…longed for the eternal emotional bond with his wife…he tried to hold her in distress…but still could not get to her heart…… the following quote would best describe his feelings….

"This was love at first sight, love everlasting: a feeling unknown, unhoped for, unexpected--in so far as it could be a matter of conscious awareness; it took entire possession of him, and he understood, with joyous amazement, that this was for life." By Thomas Mann


and what a heart change in love….could not be better….from a egoistic he turned into a humble man 😊 ,he apologized for his past…he apologized to her, her family…..from a casanova to a passionate, emotional person 😳 , Good times were about to come and we was on his way to win her heart 👏 but destiny…………………..

He came to know that he has a brain tumor……and one sentence turned his life upside down 😭 …….As one can imagine, everybody is alone there facing death 😭 ….so was he 😭 …..On the top of that he came to know that is an adopted child……his parents are foster parents………ahhhh ……..felt so lonely in this cruel world for the first time………………………… 😭
and he could not realize again that he is not alone 😊 …His lady love is there by him 😊 , to support him , to hold him… 😊 ..and who would not like to live if you see your love smiling at you with open arms…… 🤗 ..and he did also…..He fought for his life for his immense love…….and he succeded 👍🏼 ……..he won the race against time to live a beautiful life ……. 👏 👏 👏

That's not all………There were so many facets of his personality, a loving son with kind heart….who had no grudges against his biological mother who abandoned him in the orphanage in that tender age…..He only loved her and supported her whenever she needed him… 🤗 A compliant and devoted son to his foster mother who asked him to secure his siblings future and he happily did it with all his wealth whole heartedly…… 👏 👏 A caring and loving elder brother to all the siblings who kept on taking him for granted but he forgave them and hugged them throughout……… 😊 😊

And what an affectionate and adorable husband he proved out to be ❤️ …sometimes possessive, sometimes impulsive, sometimes insecure also …..but kept on loving her every moment…. 😳 . He truly turned out to be an epitome of immense love for all the near and dear ones… 👍🏼 .

And how could I forget, Gaurav put life in every emotion of this character so beautifully that we could capture sweet memories of "Samay" into our hearts forever....👏

Well if he'd be having physical relations with every woman out there he'd probably have been diagnosed as HIV positive not Brain tumor.Biggest gift in drama serials kuch bhi ho sakta hai. 😆

And i loved the Mann quote, though i suspect that Mann wrote it ironically. Its the kind of statement that would lend itself easily to irony and knowing Mann's kind of writing i doubt he would be very optimistic. 😊

Maria dear right now I understand what Wordsworth must've felt when he wrote this " I gazed and gazed but little thought,what joy the show to me had brought. For oft when on my couch I lie, in vacant or in pensive mood.They flash upon the inward eye, which is the bliss of solitude".Little did I think while watching ADHM that it would be a turning point in my life. As for my assignment , have prepared it hastily hope it comes across as good.

Divya Marwah............the name conjures up a beautiful image. Sweet face, gentle voice and a graceful appearance. Divya came across as a loving mother, a dutiful wife and a devoted daughter in law. 😊
Her character had been sketched as a woman heartless enough to abandon her son at an orphanage to carry on with her own life. Yet there was much more to that. Her first appearance onscreen caused audience to sit up and notice her. The audience disliked her for abandoning her child and her inability to save his slipping life due to fear of loss of family and personal happiness.
Yet with time as the serial advanced we saw her turmoil and grief, felt the immense pain she buried in her heart. The loss of her love , the inability to keep her son due to social restrictions and family decisions.She married Dr Marwah but could never forget Samay. When Rusty begged her to save Samay by handing over her medical reports Divya's perplexion could be understood easily. At one hand was a son she pined for and on the other a family she had lovingly raised and nurtured. The decision was difficult yet she bravely confronted the situation and bore the consequences courageously.😕
We saw her bear Rusty's anger for not helping her save Samay, Dr Marwah's insensitivity on knowing the truth about her illicit relationship with Samay's father, Simi's wrath for her broken engagement. Yet she faced all situations calmly trying to shield her son from any harm, defending his birth right and justifying her life as Mrs Marwah. What was notable was the change in character, her onscreen presence and essaying of her role. She changed from apprehensive to courageous, from meek to bold and from guilty to defensive. She made everyone realize that Samay's birth was his right on life. She proved her importance to Simi by confronting her and talking to her consistently and made Mr Marwah realize his mistakes by deciding to leave her home for his peace and happiness. A strong yet beautiful character. All emotions portrayed beautifully by Kiron Kher . The scene at the hospital where she watched Samay lie on the bed ill and helpless the pain was visible in her eyes. The way she consoled Rusty having full faith in God and the way she carressed Sam when he first opened his eyes after the operation. The touch so tender the love transfered through her touch. All in all a wonderful character played to perfection . In the end I must quote " The hand that rocks the cradle is the hand that rules the world". The woman finally did end up setting things straight. 😊
