Some reflections on Samay and marriages - Page 2

Hey Muneeza i liked Samay too.... but i always liked the way Gaurav played him more than the character itself... though there were things about Samay that were devilishly charming.... and he did end up becoming the kind of man one could relate to.... i wish i had seen the earlier episodes though, to get some sense of what he was like 'pre change'.... i saw his entry recently, courtesy jojo, and it hit me again that the first moment is intense and very physically so for her as well.... which is why she gets uncomfortable with it.
Teena i know what you mean.... the concept of marriage is deeply rooted and i'm not contesting that at all... nor am i saying that things aren't changing.... i agree with almost all you're saying.... i didnt write this post to say that tv shouldnt focus on male-female or familial relationships.... i just remember a time when tv used to be so much more.... when you could explore love but the whole world besides as well.... whereas today every show is doing the same thing. The one thing that i would like to contest, however, is that the high success rate of marriages in india is also due to the social system.... some people stay in dissatisfying marriages only to avoid the unknown and the disapproval... i can understand staying in a marriage for the sake of the kids...i cant understand staying in it because you dont know how to live alone.
Muneeza, hopefully you will get a husband like Gaurav... mujhe nikaah mein zaroor bulana.... agar ho saka toh i'll definitely come. 😊

I agree whole heartedly Gaurav played Samay so well he became the character. 😊 hence I love them both.

Have stopped watching Sony too . Zee tv is banned here so no acess to it too. As soon as Gaurav signs his new daily soap I'll go audition for a part opposite him .😊
