not exactly .you need MRI (even CT scans arent good enough)

So let see what happens to Samay . ..

The Medicine in India is fairly advanced .....but the writers of a serial never consult an MD and incorporate the most ludicrous medical treatments and outcomes in the story lines ..

I wish they would use this medium to educate public as well as entertain (shows like ER,greys anatomy,CSI ,Crossing Jordon, even we docs learn a trick or two )

I agree MRI, CT scans, EKG's are the one that can depict a tumor sometimes depeding on where the tumor is and how small it is even they can't help, an ex-ray sounds so silly as it's not a broken bone 😆

you got the words out of my mouth. Most serials show nonsense withour reserach when showing a legal or police or medical case. That truly irks me !!!!!!! I love watching CSI or law and order that educates and entertains too.

A plain x-ray diagnosing tumor can occasionally be appreciated on plain skull films by the visualization of bone erosion, calcification, or hyperostosis. However it's senstivity is so low that for a headache no one would order a skull X-ray , CT scan or MRI with contrast is the test of choice. I agree in fact inspite of CT scan and MRI you can only comment that it is a mass , infact I remember multiple times when mass in CT and MRI were suggestive of malignancy , but on biopsy were brain abscess , so kudos to the doctor who can confidently diagnose tumor on plain x-ray ? . and yes the paternal DNA testing is too much, Doctor Sahab you should get your act together and should have admitted Samay , with neurosurgery on consult to do a biopsy rather than trying to get his birth record and mom's DNA testing.
