brain tumor is a very vague word ..Let me educate ya'all since I am a practicing MD
there are 2 types of brain tumor --benign (ie not cancer) growths and people can live for 20-60 years after surgery .no chemo or radiation is needed . People can have seizures , post op but they can be controlled witn meds
There are cancerous tumors, with relatively dismal outcomes. despite great advances in medical and surgical treatments..
the rx causes paralysis, radiation causes brain damage and chemo causes a syndrome we nick name as chemo-brain..despite all this , most people with cancerous brain tumor die within first 2 years of diagnosis and almost all die within 5 years
