there are 2 types of brain tumor --benign (ie not cancer) growths and people can live for 20-60 years after surgery .no chemo or radiation is needed . People can have seizures , post op but they can be controlled witn meds

the rx causes paralysis, radiation causes brain damage and chemo causes a syndrome we nick name as chemo-brain..despite all this , most people with cancerous brain tumor die within first 2 years of diagnosis and almost all die within 5 years
