Rusty leaves London for Chandigarh, to seek her roots


Finally, life makes a revelation, happiness unfolds its wings and destiny sends Rusty on a voyage that will change her life. Rusty, who grew up under the belief that she is the daughter of John and Linda, a British couple residing in England, suddenly discovers that John is her stepfather and her real father is in India. Rusty now realises the meaning of all those strange flashes she used to have about India. She now understands why she was so drawn towards Indian culture, Indian festivals and everything that is related to India.

Rusty longs for the love and affection that was denied to her in her formative years. After being abandoned by her mother, Rusty lived a lonely existence in the busy city of London, fending and working for her living. The knowledge that she is not alone and has a family in India forces Rusty to set out in search of her roots-to the India of her dreams. From the cemented roads of London, she gets into mustard fields and muddy roads of Chandigarh, wherein lives a family that she can call her own... But is the family ready to meet her?

Although Rusty has arrived in India, little does she know what lies in store. Amongst the green fields and scenic beauty of her homeland, a great many surprises unfold for her, as Rusty tries to reach out to her family. She soon realises that all is not well here. There's a lot of hatred, anger and revenge. For Rusty, it's a journey of pain, angst, hopes and dreams.

Tonight, Rusty lands in Chandigarh to meet her large extended family…
