Aakash and Neil met up one day. They went for jogging together and then after getting freshened up, they went to a park where they often used to hang out. They both leaned against the car and started talking with each other over admiring the beautiful view of the park.
Ne: Toh tu kabse wapas join kar raha hai?
Ak: Uh it won't be a long time. Kuch hi dino mein join karne wala hu.
Ne: Yaar tu apni zindagi mein age kiu nehi bar raha? Get settled down man. Ab bohot chuka.
Ak:(irritated) Phirse wohi baat? Bas kar abhi please.
Ne: Kiu Aakash? Kiu tu humesha rishto se dur bhagta hai?
Ak: Kiuki mujhe ek simple life chahiye. Ye pyaar, ye passion, emotions ye sab bekaar ki batein hai. In sabse life bohot complicated ho jati hai. Aur dekh jitna tu dil se sochega na utna hi tujhe dukh milega. Kyuki ye dil humeshaa sirf sur sirf dard deta hai. Aur kuch bhi nehi.
Ne: Tere saath baat karna bekaar hai. Emotions ke bina tu toh insaan hi nehi rahega. You will be a machine; a robot; nothing else.
Ak: Ha shayad main aisa hi hu. Aur mujhe aise hi rehna hai.
Ne: Bhai, tujhe samjhana meri bas ki baat nehi hai. Just let it be. Well, I guess I should head home now. Nehito meri home minister meri ghanti baja degi.(laughed out)
Ak:(laughed) Kiu Saale, tu apni biwi se itna darta hai?
Ne: Iss duniya mein sabse zyada.
They both laughed at this and then
bade goodbye to each other and left for their respective places.
The next day Aakash went to the grocery store near his home to buy some things. When he was picking up his necessaries, suddenly his eyes fell on a girl who was standing at a little distance. He got surprised and shocked at the same time because it was the same girl whom he had seen that day. He had nearly forgotten her completely by now but again he saw her. He stood like a statue for sometime and then he assembled himself and went to the counter. The girl was standing right behind him in the queue. The stuff person who was in the packaging
section;somehow mixed up the things and one of Ananya's purchased items went into Aakash's bag. When Ananya saw it she tried to call out to him but before she could do anything, Aakash had already paid the money and started walking towards the exit. Ananya also did her payment and then followed him outside.
An: Uh..excuse me?
Aakash unknowingly turned around hearing that voice and when he saw the person he was again startled.
Ak:( in a hesitating voice) Aap mujhe bula rahi hai?
An: Ji ha. Woh actually aapke bag mein meri ek important cheez accidentally chali gayi hai. So if you please don't mind; will you check for once?
Ak:(a bit irritated voice) See I am on a rush right now. So please aap ek kam kijiye..(he brought out a thousand rupees note from his pocket and handed it over to Ananya) aap phirse kharid lijiye. It will take a lot of time to check out those things and I really don't have that much time.
Saying, he didn't wait for a single second; nor even he turned towards Ananya for once. He immediately
got into his car and drove off. Ananya stood like a statue for sometime thinking what just happened.
An:(nodding her head in disappointment) Pata nehi kaise kaise log rehte hai duniya mein. Paiso ki ghamand dikha raha tha mujhe!
Ananya made a disgusted expression and was going to throw away the note but then stopped herself from doing so. She looked here and there and finally her eyes fixed at a certain place and she walked towards that direction.Upon reaching there, she called a little
girl who was serving tea to the customers of a roadside tea stall.The girl came near her and asked"Didi aapke liye chaye lau?"
An: Nehi beta. Mujhe nehi chahiye. Par aap ye rakho(saying,she gave her the note)
The girl was surprised and a little bit scared too as she didn't understand as to why a stranger would give her money. She said in a hesitated voice"Main nehi le sakti."
An: Kiu beta? Abhi abhi aap ne mujhe didi bulaya na. Toh ye tumhaare didi ke taraf se ek taufa hai. Ise rakh lo,hmm?
The girl silently nodded and Ananya smiled. She then kissed on the girl's cheeks and then bidding her good bye;left from there while the girl kept looking at her.
Ananya and Aakash often used to meet as they visited the same grocery store. There was something between them which made an awkward situation; as they wanted to talk to each other but at the very next moment they would stop themselves from doing so.
A month passed by and one day Neil came over to Aakash's house to have a chat with him. They were talking about several things when suddenly Neil brought up the topic,
Ne: Toh tu kya bata raha tha ek larki ke bare mein? Ki usse teri mulakaat hoti rehti hai?
Ak: Oh..woh? Are yaar I don't know..I mean pata nehi bohot ajeeb hai you know. I mean pehlibar jab maine use dekha tha;we both were stuck in a traffic jam. Uske bad shayad main bhul bhi jata but again I saw her in the store. Aur uske baad se ab toh nearly hardin milta rehta hu; I mean of course unexpectedly. Par mujhe pata nehi kiu bohot ajeeb lagta hai. You know how I am around girls.Mujhe vaise bhi accha nehi lagta. Par ye alag hai. Mujhe khud pata nehi hai ki mujhe irritation ho rahi hai ya aur kuch. I am just not able to understand how I am feeling.
Ne:(amused) Bhai kamal ho gaya ye toh. Not bad. Accha promotion hua hai tera.
Ak: Kya matlab?
Ne: Matlab ye hai buddy that you are in the very first stage of falling in love.
Ak:(yelled) What? are you out of your mind? Pyaar aur mujhe! Are you mad? I mean seriously?
Ne: Are abhi tak hua nehi hai. But I am very sure something is brewing between you two. Kyuki jo symptoms tu bata raha hai na like ajeeb si feeling and all; ye sab pyaar ke mamle mein hi hota hai. Trust me. Main jab Mahima se mila tha tab mujhe bhi aisa kuch feel hota tha yaar.
Ak: Tu aur teri stupid baate. Please rehne de.
Ne:(in a surrendering attitude) Ok ok main kuch nehi bolunga. But mera dil keh raha hai ki aisa hoga zarur.
Saying, Neil laughed while Aakash gave a fed up look.
Days passed by and Ananya and Aakash had glances of each other nearly every day; but they never talked. One day when Ananya came out from the shop;suddenly her eyes fell on Aakash who was standing next to his car and his hand was bleeding badly. Ananya somehow couldn't stop herself and without wasting any more time she
rushed to him.
An:(in a worried tone) Aapko chot lagi hai?
Aakash raised up his head and upon seeing Ananya he had mixed feelings.
Ak:(in a bit cold tone) It's ok. I am ok. Aap jaiye yaha se.
An:(still being anxious) But it is a very deep cut. Aapko abhi first aid ki zarurat hai..
Ak:(in an irritated and rude voice) Maine kaha na main thik hu. Aap please yaha se jaiye. Ek anjan ke liye itni sympathy dikhana thik nehi hai. Please leave.
Ananya was totally taken a back with his rude behaviour. She knew she shouldn't be shocked neither she should be hurt because he is just a stranger. But unknowingly deep inside her heart;she was hurt. She stood in front of him for some more time and then started walking away. Somehow Aakash also felt bad and he regretted his behaviour and cursed himself for being rude.
