CHAPTER - 5

Muskaan now slowly was able to speak her name,not the full version of her name but a short version compatible for her nd so instead of Muskaan she used to say Mu!' and everyone understands that.Ananya put out some warm water in a small tub for Muskaan.Muskaan was,at that time,happily sitting on Akash's stomach and eating her chocolate and was dancing with happiness by jumping on his stomach.Akash screamed,"Ouch!!!Muskaan beta aise jump mat karo papa ko lagti hai."She held her ears and apologized and then again concentrated in her chocolate.She always sits by taking the whole chocolate packet in her hand,but she is never able to consume the whole one.Rather than eating the chocolate,she loved to play with it,making her mouth and her frock dirty.That day,not only herself but she was making Akash's T-shirt dirty.Akash was reading a magazine.Muskaan was licking the chocolate from her hand and was wiping her hand on her frock.Akash,for some time stared at her activities and then something struck his mind.He made her sit on the sofa and said,"Muskaan yaha betho.Abhi do minute mein papa aate hai."Akash went to his room and returned with his digital camera.He then said to Muskaan,"Muskaan chalo beta papa ko achchi si pose do,papa photo uthaayenge na."Muskaan on seeing the camera was so excited that she immediately stood up and gave poses with her dirty hands,face and frock which were coved with chocolates,but still she was looking so adorable that Akash could not stop but clicking her photos.Ananya came out of the bedroom to take Muskaan,for bathing and on seeing their activities,she said,"Oh!To baap beti ka photosession chal raha hai."At that moment,Muskaan turned.On seeing her,Ananya made an angry face and said,"Ishhh!Ye kya hai Muskaan?Apne aap ki aur apne kapro ki kya haalat bana li hai dekho.Ye larki chocolate khaati kam hai aur kapro ko khilaati zyaada hai."She looked at Akash and said,"Apne kapro ki haalat dekho Akash,usme bhi chocolate laga hua hai.Tum dono ke vajah se main pareshaan ho gayi hu."She angrily snatched Muskaan's chocolate and said,"Aaj ke baad Muskaan ko koi chocolate nehi milegi."Muskaan pouted and said,"Mamma!"On seeing this,Ananya said,"Aisi shakal banaane se papa pighal sakte hai mamma nehi.Papa ne bilkul hi bigaar kar rakkha hua hai.Ab tum dono ki manmaani nehi chalegi,bohot ho gaya.Roz chocolate khaa kar kapre gande karti ho aur phir mamma ko dhona parta hai.Aaj se ghar mein chocolate bandh aur agar papa chocolate laaye to unko ghar mein entry nehi milegi.Bad Muskaan!"Muskaan folded her lips and said,"Mamma,ganni Mu??Ganne papa??"Ananya replied,"Ha gandi Muskaan aur gande Muskaan ke papa.Aaj mamma tumse bohot gussa hai aur isiliye mamma tumhaara koi kaam nehi karegi."Muskaan made a sad face and looked at Akash.He immediately picked her up in his arms and said,"Ale beta thik hai na.Mamma nehi hai to papa hai na.Agar mamma papa ko ghar se nikaal degi to papa Muskaan ko lekar bahaar party karenge,chocolate bhi laayenge aur mamma ko lekar nehi jaayenge aur aaj papa hi Muskaan na nahaana,khelna,khaana sab karenge.Chalo."Ananya said,"Thik hai dekhti hu main bhi."Akash made a face to Ananya and then went to their bedroom.

Akash opened Muskaan's clothes and put them on the washing machine.He made her sit on the bath tub.But she didn't sit on the tub and continuously nodded her head.She said,"Papa chhal!Papa chhal!"He asked,"Chhal???Ye chhal kya hai?"She pointed towards the shower and said,"Papa chhal!"Akash got it and said,"Shower!Muskaan ko shower se nahaana hai."Muskaan nodded her head.Ananya who was watching them,said,"Nehi Muskaan shower se nehi nahaayegi.Kahi kaan mein pani chala gaya to?"He said,"Kuch nehi hoga main hoon na aur dekho Muskaan ka kitna mann hai shower se nahaane ka.Main usko hand shower se nehla dunga."He put Muskaan down from the tub and then picked up the hand shower.He made her bath with that.He applied baby soap and cleaned the chocolates on her body.He didn't put water on her head with the shower but instead he used a mug.Ananya,on seeing this said,with an applauding tone,"Kaafi intelligent ho Akash."He smiled with an attitude in reply.Muskaan was happily dancing and moving as if bathing with shower was a kind of game for her and for that Akash was almost half drenched.After that he wrapped her with her towel and made her stand on the bed.He said,"Muskaan ne nahaate nahaate papa ko bhi nehla diya."She,without understanding anything giggled.Ananya asked,"Kya baat hai bari hasi aa rahi hai Muskaan ko?"Akash said,"Dekho kya haalat hai meri."Ananya said,"Ye to bas shuruwaat hai.Dekho aagey aagey kya hota hai."Akash then wiped her body with the towel,made her wear her frock and then said,"Chale ab papa abhi Muskaan ko khaana khilaayenge."Muskaan rubbed her stomach and said,"Papa...Mu!"He agreed,"Ha ha pata hai Muskaan ko bohot bhukh lagi hai."He took her to the dining table.

Ananya had already prepared her food and Akash just poured it on a bowl.Akash put a spoonful in front of her mouth but instead of eating,Muskaan moved off her face.Akash tried again,but she did not eat.He asked,"Kya hua Muskaan ye tumhaara khaana hai.Khaao?"Muskaan nodded her head and squeezed her nose and said,"Papa,ganna!Mmm.."He said,"Ganda khaana hai?Ek minute."He tasted it and made the same face just like Muskaan.He uttered,"Horrible!"He said to Ananya,"Ye bhi koi khaana hai?Aisa khaana tum roz khilaati ho usey?Isse to tasty paani hai."She asked,"To tum kya chahte ho main usey fast food khilaau?"He said,"Kamsekam thore dhang ka to khilaao.Bhayaanak khaana hai ye."He then said to Muskaan,"Don't worry Muskaan.Papa hai na!"He cut a lemon and then squeezed its juice in Muskaan's food.He then mixed the food properly and then said,"Ab dekhna papa ke magic ke vajah se kitna tasty lagega Muskaan ko khaane mein."He took a spoonful and fed her.Muskaan clapped with happiness.He said,"Dekha meri gudiya ko papa ka magic pasand aa gaya."Muskaan then said,"Papa toyi!Papa toyi!"He helplessly looked at Ananya and she said,"Story sunaao isey varna ye nehi khaayegi."Akash then started telling her a story and while telling he acted and made sounds like each character.Muskaan was totally taken back and she was really scared when Akash acted and roared like tiger.She screamed out of fear,"Papa Haaoom!Mamma,papa haaoom!"Ananya's stomach was paining with laughter on seeing Akash's acts,but when Muskaan screamed,Ananya scolded Akash.She said,"Bandh karo na Akash.Muskaan ko dar lag raha hai."Akash apologized,"Sorry Muskaan!Papa is really very sorry bachcha!"After eating,Muskaan became busy in playing.

At night,before dinner,Muskaan was watching TV.In the cartoon,a baby was shown sleeping.Muskaan immediately got down of the sofa and walked towards the TV.She leaned and kissed on the TV screen on the baby and then patted the screen as if patting the baby.Akash called Ananya and showed her what Muskaan was doing.Ananya asked,"Ye kya ho raha hai Muskaan?"Muskaan pointed towards the baby and said,"Mamma Mu..."She then acted to sleep and then said,"Mamma!"She again patted the baby on the screen and then kissed on the screen.Akash said,"Mujhe iski sign language na bilkul bhi samajh mein nehi aati."Ananya said,"Tabhi tum papa ho aur main mamma hu.Muskaan ne ye kaha ke jaise main Muskaan ko thapthapaakar sulaati hu aur phir usko kiss karti hu thik vaisa I usne vo TV waali baby ke saath kiya hai.Hai na Muskaan?"Muskaan nodded her head and then ran to Ananya and jumped into her arms.At night,Akash was walking with Muskaan in his arms and patting her to sleep.Muskaan was putting her head on his shoulder.She raised her head and asked,"Papa mei toc?"Akash whispered,"Ha to main laaunga na."Muskaan asked,"Mamma??"He assured,"Mamma kuch nehi bolegi."Ananya just came out after the shower and said,"Maine sun liya."Muskaan,quickly put her head down.After a few minutes,she again raised her head and asked,"Papa mei doll?"He assured,"Kal aate waqt laaunga beta."She again put her head down.After a few minutes,Muskaan again raised her head and Akash asked,"Ab kya hai beta?"She made a scared expression and asked,"Papa haaoom??"Ananya replied,"Abhi agar Muskaan phataaphat se nehi soyi to haaoom(tiger) sachchi mein aa jaayega."Muskaan,without wasting a single second more,put her head on Akash's shoulder grabbed him by his neck and closed her eyes and fell fast asleep.
