VJ-turned-actor-turned cricket show host Yudhishtar Urs is enjoying the different phases of life.
"I like to balance my work. Too much of anything gets monotonous. When I start to get bored by too much of anchoring of TV shows, films give me a breather. But I like to do films which are not the run of a mill kind. Right now I'm doing a film " Yeh Kaisi Life" which is being directed by Mrighank Ghosh. It's a drama and I'm playing one of the leads in the film," concedes Yudhishtar.
At the moment, Yudhishtar is busy hosting the pre and post match shows of IPL season-4. "I'm really enjoying my stint as a host in this IPL. It's fun actually to be a part of such a wonderful cricketing extravaganza that takes place every year. I also got an opportunity to meet some of the biggest stars and Bollywood celebs during the course of the tournament," says Yudhishtar excitedly
There's no doubt that Yudhishtar is doing a good job hosting in the IPL. But does he have deep knowledge of cricket? "Well, I have done my schooling from Rajkumar College, Rajkot. This is the same school which produced legends of cricket Dileep Sinhji and Ranjit Sinhji. So, obviously, cricket was mandatory for every student in the school and I was no exception. Though I used to like watching cricket a lot, I didn't enjoy playing the game on the field that much. In fact, I used to hate when I was asked to do fielding," smiles Yudhishtar. .
