Anyways, now getting back to the show! 😳 Okay so now I'm just going to give a super quick review on the very first epsiode of Airlines and share my thoughts with you all. 😊 And also the first review of the forum. 😛
Review:
The show's beginning was really gripping, I must say. 👏 The way there was a flashback scene at the beginning of what's going to happen further on in the epsiode was quite cleverly and effectively done. ⭐️ And it really got me hooked yet scared for what was in store for us to watch. 😳
Then we had the pure Delhi wali essence. Reminded me of my younger days when I used to visit India so often and the Delhi environment! Haye! :) The song playing in the car, Ananya confidently driving giving that posh, smart and modernised and independent girl look and the family plus their style and car gave us a clear idea of their background story. 😊 Ananya's sister was so loud but loving. I loved how she supported her sister when they she was arguing with the doctor. Ananya seemed really quite and focused throughout the starting scenes. 😳 We can tell that she's not one of those talkative characters and is very straightforward with her words. ⭐️ Then we had the doctor saying so many mean things to Ananya and supporting sexism. I hated that and it made me so angry at him. 😡 But yes since it's a show and I remember that...I quite liked the way the CVs are already implying the main story focus of women being looked up as not so modern and independent. :) It wasn't stretched and the CVs gradually kept bringing in the message in the epsiode that women ARE capable of doing things which not only men could do. ⭐️ And I really liked that Ananya isn't someone who would argue back and waste her time on such backward people and she just simply ignored the doctor in their first meeting. 😃 Although I would appreciate her to speak up more. But I'm sure that will happen when the right time comes. 😊
I adored her bond with her Nanu and how he also encouraged her to go out there and prove her capability as a women and fulfil their dream. 👏 If we all have such a wonderful and supporting family then no women would be demoralised so much in this world. ⭐️ Wish we do. Very soon. :) And her mother's words were so true that we have to keep our head up high to get success and who faces challenges in life is the most successful. 👏 Very true...bang on! As many of us can tell...Akash seems like a big time suspicious character. It will be interesting so see how Ananya deals with him. 😊
God this girl is so brave she heard so much criticism throughout her first day yet didn't give up or take things on heart. Bravo! <3 And I loved how she showed her uniform proudly. Everyone was stunned in that pilot room whatever it's called. 😳
Then the flight scenes where the doctor was stealing food, everyone was screaming and acting so hyper were hilarious! 😆 I loved Ananya's posh and super smart look. Truly gave that perfect pilot impression especially for a TV show when it's so hard to get that right and effective for the audiences. ❤️ I loved Ananya's sweet and friendly conversation with her co-pilot, Mr Verma. 👍🏼 It was sweet of him to trust her so much despite being surrounded by bad influencing thoughts around him. 😳
That part where they were screaming and they can see that a pilot is bloody suffering from a heart attack...how unappreciative and selfish are they?!!!! How can they scream like that infront of a patient??? 😲 That was one wild flight! Yeah I can understand that supporting their own thoughts about a female pilot...they are scared and of course everyone loves their life and doesn't want to lose it but for that kind of situation if you are patient and calm then it will be WAY more easier for everything to go smooth and safe. C'mon. That must be so tough for poor Ananya who was handling everything alone and who had all that pressure of so many lives. 😳 Plus for the poor pilot who is in so much pain. 😭 Damn everyone was so loud. Poor guy.
Not to forget...the beginning when they said HIJACK made me so scared! I was like woah!!! What am I going to see?! 😲 But it got me hooked on so yeah it's worth it! 😛 No not hijacking...the show. 😉
I knew nothing was going to happen like that as spoilers are always handy! 😎 Anyways, I loved how Ananya handled Akash so confidently despite all those bad mouthing words for her. She didn't fear. That's woman power and true confidence in a women. Way to go! 👏
Okay now here's some not-so-good things which I didn't like personally so please don't take it on heart or bash me if you disagree...just my POV:
- When Akash was getting his bag or something checked or whatever...that lady who offered to put the label on his bag had a "Mang tika" on her head which is a popularIndian head jewelry for those who don't know. Now I've never seen that. And it was quite odd and certainly irked me a bit. 🤔 I mean c'mon do you really expect to see a crew member wearing that loud blingy jewelry? 😳 Err don't think so. 😕
- The doctor really didn't act like a doctor at the beginning of the episode with his silly acts. 😆 Yeah his got the right to be 'himself' but that decency was a bit out of place. 😛
- I didn't like how the air hostesses were portrayed. I mean not one of them had some decent mature dialogues. :/ Either some were quite and just acting mature or we have Natasha who was too busy flirting. 😲 Didn't expect that by oh well. :) Thank God it didn't go overboard. :) But the talking behind the back about the new pilot and their colleague truly made me cringe. I wish they sort out their attitude because being a pilot is not easy and what do they even know about Ananya? 😕 Just that she's a female. Why are females always shown on TV to be jealous of another female? Damn! :( What Verma said was clearly shown. :( How can you judge someone without knowing them? :/ And I really don't think passengers would have such easy access to go and visit their favourite air hostess whenever they like on a flight whilst it's flying. Lol!
Well that's all for now! :) Sorry if I offended etc. Just simply shared my views. 😃 I know it's the first episodes and all and I shouldn't be picking out cons just yet. But then everything has positives and negatives and the negatives only help make the rest positive and perfect so improvements can always be discussed without any issues, right?! 😃
That was one eventful day for Ananya! 😳
Being a girl, I truly got that feel of girl power in the epsiode which not every show succeeds in doing. And this one did it without much OTTness and drama. Everything was balanced. Even the funny and flirty bits. But we can ignore that because the main storyline is well focused on admist all that. 👏
And sorry for that long review but I think the more detail we add, the more better it is to fully express our views and bring out ours feelings correctly. 😊 ❤️
