Article: Rupa's on a break

Sumitra ( Rupa Ganguly) has been absent from the show Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo for a long time now.

And even the viewers are aware of the same. The Tollywood actress has taken a break from the show so as to shoot for her next Bengali release. Rumours have it that Rupa is planning to take a sabbatical from TV in order to give her film career a hike.

But Rupa says she has enjoyed playing the character of Sumitra, is not very happy about taking a break from the show. She says, "The cast of the show have been like a second family. So the fact that I've to divide time between my Bengali films and this show gets very difficult, considering both the roles are creatively satisfying." Rupa confirms clash of dates between the film and the serial. "I hope the writers will bring me back in the show whenever the dates permit."

Sources say that Sumitra's character will be eased off from the show for a while. Seems like the character will be shown going for a Char Dhaam yatra.
