How did you get into acting? I started with theatre. I haven't done any professional course, but managed to stick on with theatre for three years. I thought that I would make it big in Mumbai, but was told that I would have to be modern. However, I've managed to survive because of my simplicity. It got me my first role in Radha Ki Betiyaan. |
How has the success of Agle Janam helped?
I am glad that people are focusing on social issue-themed shows. My character Laali is complex: she is chirpy, but has become more responsible after marriage and motherhood.
As Laali, you had to look depressed. Did that have an effect in real life?
Whoever plays Laali will never get depressed. I am happy that I've got a good response from the audience. I am thankful to the almighty for what he has done for me in the last two years.
There are rumours that you throw tantrums on the sets
It's not the case. It's just that I have so much work that I don't have time to be social or reply to messages. It may be perceived as rude, but I am not like that
What about the dating scene?
Thank God I don't have a boyfriend. If I did, he would have walked out of the relationship. Working for 18 hours, I would hardly get time to entertain my boyfriend. Then I would have surely been depressed.
What about your dream wedding and you dream husband?
I've always wanted to get married. I've been planning my wedding since Std VII. I have dreams that I don't wish to disclose. As for the dream guy, he should be tall and handsome as I want my kids to be tall. I am very stubborn so he should be mature.
