A poor girl named Lali, who lives in a small village in India with her mother, father, sisters and
brother, goes through many trials to survive without much money, helping her family as much as she can. Meanwhile, an evil man named Balli goes around her poor village offering money in return for beautiful girls. He is desperate to get Lali and he finally does, and she is sold off to a rich Thakur, Loha Singh, by her mother. Lali enters a new household where she has been brought to give an heir to the family. Shekhar, the youngest son, dislikes her at first, but after a few days he starts to respect her and have feelings for her. Lali is happy to hear of this, but feels sad for Siddeshwari, Shekhar's first wife, because she is going to take her place in the family. Shekhar tells her that she doesn't have to feel sad, because Siddeshwari wanted them to become close to each other. Thus follows a story that has many twists and turns and in every story Lali has to be careful to get around all of the troubles she faces. As of now, she is arrested for the murder of Shekhar's sister Ratna. Not everybody thinks that Lali is dead because on her way to another jail the polices' jeep had an accident. but what Loha's family doesnt know is that this was planned by Mukuls dad to take revenge on Siddeshwari. Gangiya and Raanvijay are also a part of that plot. but at the end, Shekhar saves her but he still hates her. now suddenly Kaushalya has disappeared. it was Gangiya and Siddheswari who kidnapped her because she had heard them talking about what happened at Ratnas wedding and how Siddheswari had given the gun to Ratna. now even Ranvijay is a part of this kidnapping. One day at a mandir, Nandini meets Lali and is shocked to see her arrive. Nandini also tells her about Kaushalaya and how Loha is worried for her. Nandini takes Lali with her to Loha's house as a servant. now Lali is trying to find out the mystery about Kaushalya and she is haunting as a ghost behind Siddheshwari. The evil trio decide to finish off Kaushalya who has been hidden in the storeroom to make sure she doesn't tell anything about them but what they dont know is that she has hidden a clue in the house which is against them. when Lali sense that Kaushalayas life is danger she reveals herself to Shekhar who is shocked and tries to throw her out but then she swears by her unborn child that she is only here to find Kaushalya. Shekhar is shocked to know that Lali is pregnant, and decides to help her even though he still doesn't fully believe her. That he will kill her if she doesnt tell him what the clue is. on 4 may in the precap they show how loha is pointing a gun on lalis head. Now, Shekar has put out Siddeshwari from the house and Loha is about to kill Sumitra until Shekar stops him. yes now lalli is having a baby and ranvijay is planning to kill it but it fails and now the preview says laali is having a problem and while their family pray lali still cant get the baby to come out, well the baby finally comes out. But soon Loha Singh realizes that the baby isnt crying, after a few agonizing minutes the baby starts to cry and everyone praises it back home. Later Gangia, Siddheswari,and Ranvigay try to kill the baby again. Lali wants to breastfeed her child, but Loha wil not allow it. Therefore, this makes Lali angry, and leads to Lali getting a knife and threatening Loha Singh, who counters with a gun. in the end, Lali manages to get permission to breastfeed. however, Loha Singh, being a clever old fox switches babies on her so he could declare her as mad. Everything is going well, but Shekhar has had enough of his father bossing around everyone, so he locks up Loha Singh. He invites Lali's family to the mansion to live there because of the misunderstanding of Rekha's husband. Rekha meets Shekhar's cousin, Madhur,and it's love at first sight. They plan to get married. In the mean time, Gangia is plotting to burn down the mansion because of her past with Loha Singh, being as he kicked her down a flight of stairs when she was younger. Gangia manages to burn down the mansion and runs away while everyone tries to get out, and Lali lets Loha Singh out. They both know that Gangia was the one who burned down the mansion, so they run after her with a gun. They find her, but she throws chili powder into Loha Singh's eyes, blinding him. Lali and Loha Singh keep chasing her, and Shekhar see's Loha Singh with the gun in his hands, thinking that he wants to shoot Lali, even though he doesn't. Shekhar tries to shoot Loha, but Lali rns in frontof Loha Singh and gets shot instead. Shekhar, heartbroken reaches for Lali's hand and catches her while she falls to the ground. Back at the mansion, Madhur is trying to save all the people in the mansion, but doesnt manage to save Nandini and one of her daughters. The next day, a funeral is held for Lali, Nandini, and one of Nandini's daughters. Seeing as Lali didn't return to the mansion, everyone assumes she is dead, but she is not.
