Telenovelle, I like your above topic. But my piece below is Shekhar and Laali moments. I would give the AJ writers10 out of 10 for their imaginative and original love scenes in this serial. For me the following are the best moments of the two lovers, and yes ...
Without a doubt, Shekhar-Laali's love scenes in Nepal were the most delightful and creative I have ever seen on Indian screen - in fact, the best because this appeared to be a very new style that I had never seen before.
(Frankly, I never thought Indian writers could come up with such romantic scenes. I say, whoever wrote the love scenes for the actors must be having a real romantic bone in the body!)
For me, the number one romantic scene was when Shekhar made Laali confess her love for him. He said he wanted to hear her say the words. (I nearly fell out of my chair! I couldn't believe the Indians could come up with such passion filled action words.) I liked it best when they said it in Hindi but when said in English, it sounded a bit false and silly and it took away the edge. (I think romantic scenes should be done in Hindi, not English).
The second most romantic moment was on the morning of their wedding when Shekhar waited for Laali to wake up and then showered her with flowers. Wow! I again take off my hat to the CVs for coming up with that one!!!
The third was when Shekhar decorated Laali, his bride with his own hands. Another wow, from me to the CVs.
The fourth was when Shekhar was blindfolded and asked to search for his bride. He stumbled around a bit, than stood in one spot, turned around and pointed straight at Laali. Another uptick for the writers for coming up with that one.
The fifth was when Laali was accused in front of everyone of having slept with Ranvijay. Shekhar stumbled out of the villa, disappeared for a while, and later when he had gathered his thoughts, came back to Laali. (Another round of applause to the CVs.)
The sixth, when Shekhar waited the entire night in the rain waiting for Laali to open the door. He knew she was aware he was outside, but she didn't open the door, and he just sat outside, sort of in a daze, not knowing why she was punishing him.
This is what you call creativity. I wish I could see such creativity now, in the new era as well while the two lovers are separated. Would have given the writers an opportunity to show some originality, some imagination, writing love scenes of Shekhar and Laali in a unique, innovative way that touch your heart.
