Guilt-stricken Shekhar rejects Lali's death!
Shekhar is stricken with so much guilt and his grief so deep that his mind appears to have rejected Laali's death. To come out of his stupor, would mean the realization that he shot and killed his beloved. (As medical doctors often point out, deep trauma often causes people to reject the death of a beloved, or to close off the mind to the pain.)
(We often see such storylines being discussed in English TV dramas. Won't it be nice if our Indian film writers do some scientific research on such matters and discuss it in their TV stories. Sigh!! … except the poor Indians start thinking that a person has gone mad).
Anyway, there is a theory that the mind automatically banishes traumatic events from memory to prevent overwhelming anxiety. Another theory is that a person who suffers a great trauma often finds that he/she cannot get the event out of his/her mind or dreams. Most psychologists accept as fact that it is quite common to consciously repress unpleasant experiences and to spontaneously remember such events long afterward.
We are eager to see how Shekhar will cope with such a traumatic incident in his life.
